We are temporarily unavailable while our hosting provider deals with necessary CPanel security upgrades on our server (as well as many other servers they host). The site is still visible, but stories are not. (They still exist! They're just not currently accessible.)

Hey guys has anyone else been locked out of their account on whofic.com sometime in the last two months?? I forgot my password and tried to reset it back in May and it is literally refusing to send me the reset email. It tells me, every time, that a "new password" has been "sent to my email". Every time, it is lying. What the fuck is this

The server isn't responding right now, and because our hosting provider now manages the overall system, we've filed a support ticket to have them reboot it. We'll be back as soon as we can.

(We have confirmed incremental backups are correctly running, so data should be safe.)

Some missing content on A Teaspoon And An Open Mind (whofic.com)

We're not sure what's happened, but some stories are showing empty chapters. The database is fine, and we uploaded every story in our backup – but for some reason, some chapters weren't part of that.

We're still looking into the issue, but in the meantime, if one of your stories was affected, the silver lining (such as it is) is that you can edit your story chapter to add the missing text and should not need to go through the validation process again.

We apologize and wish we had better news to share.

Generative AI policy update to A Teaspoon And An Open Mind (whofic.com)

As of today, we have updated our terms of service and submission guidelines to confirm that you may use generative AI to craft your stories. However, you must tag these stories with the new "AI-generated" warning, and you must include an author's note on each chapter explaining how AI was used for the chapter: in whole, just in part, etc.
