Rasheed Hislop and I with copious notes after facilitating a movement and dialogue-focused action-planning session on "Centering the Leadership of People of Color" at the Just Food Conference this afternoon. The group was powerful and intergenerational - we stayed a half an hour past the end time as the conversation got deeper and we dug into the question "what does a food system led by people of color look like?" In this photo, I made a chicken joke.
