To the fans who thought that every Doctor had to be "young and sexy"

So like many of your I was excited to here that Peter Capadli would be flying the TARDIS as Doctor number 12. And I was also excited to hear that the would be appearing in an adaptation of the Three Musketeers later this year. So naturally I googled him, like probably every other person was doing at that time.

I found an article that talked about his upcoming role in the Musketeers movie. And then I discovered something that threw me for a loop.

THE MUSKETEERS MOVIE WAS FILMED IN MARCH. WHICH MEANS THAT PETER HAS KNOWN FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW THAT HE WOULD PORTRAY THE TWELFTH DOCTOR!!! WHICH MEANS HE COULD POTENTIALLY BE IN THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY EPISODE!!!

okay okay... so proof i suppose is in order. this is the article i was reading: [x] it is dated February 25, 2013. 

and this line was further down the page: 

and of course he did say that he found out during the filming of the Muskeeters: [x]

  then i wondered if he could possibly be in the 50th and did a little more digging about when the 50th was filmed and found this [x]: 

which means that the Twelfth Doctor could very well be making an appearance in the 50th. which is perhaps why the BBC didn't want to premiere a trailer of it till Peter had been announced. 

Regardless if he is in the 50th or not Peter has known for 5 months that he will play the next incarnation of the Doctor. that is also 3 months before Matt announced that he would be leaving the role.

This is all of course speculation, but that dates seem to add up quite nicely . Take what you want from it but maybe the Twelfth Doctor's first appearance won't be in the Christmas Special after all.

  HE IS LITERALLY THE PERFECT CHOICE AND IF YOU DISAGREE THEN I WILL PUNCH the air because I'm really happy about the decision but respect the fact that you're not - but you should at least admit that it's cool that he's such a fan of the show.

Because I've finally gotten to watch his revealing. LOL. I moved to my new apartment yesterday and my cable didn't get installed until 1PM when he was revealed at 11AM. 

But I think he'll be a great Doctor. I'm not very familiar with his work, but he looks fantastic already.

yoOOOOO EVERYONE, I haven't logged in since just before 12th doctor was announced and here are my ramblings about that :)

okay so obviously I watched it live at 4am like any other decent aussie fan and omg

I thought he was gonna cry??? he kept looking down and it felt like he could hardly get the words out I'M JUST. I'LL BE SO UPSET WHEN HE REGENERATES.

BUT... I'm really excited about Peter Capaldi! I knew beforehand that he was speculated to be in the running... tbh I couldn't really see ANY of those suspected candidates fitting the role of the doctor at the time, but when good ol' capaldi walked out after being announced he just seemed so perfect for it, I don't know what changed!

so yeah, mixed emotions. I still can't wait though.

My feelings are all over the place.

um what else? oh yeah, I was happy to see professor brian cox give some of his input. I also just managed to snag 2 peter capaldi related urls just then. I thought ALL variants of his name would be taken but I guess I was wrong. oh man I have so many urls now... like... what am I even gonna do with them... do you guys want any...
