Guatemala Huehuetenango - Kin Kin Coffee Roaster (more photos)

This is first coffee I have tried from Kin Kin Coffee Roasters in Madison, which is connected to Johnson Public House. This USDA Certified Organic is a balanced medium roast, that is soft and sweetly-tart, strong dark cherry notes throughout, and a deep chocolate and juicy finish.

Papua New Guinea - Wilson’s Coffee & Tea (more photos)

This is the second medium roasted coffees I am trying at home from Wilson’s Coffee. This is one of the most natural sweet coffees I have had i a long while, a smooth and silky experience from start to finish. The aftertaste has strong milk chocolate notes. Something tells me this would make for a great Clever brew, as well as be a good base for an espresso blend.

While I enjoyed this Papua New Guinea, I actually liked the Brazil Vale do Cigano as it has a bit more personality. Looking forward to trying some of the dark and light roasts from Wilson’s Coffee to get a better feel for their range of roasting.

Brazil Vale do Cigano - Wilson's Coffee & Tea (more photos)

The selection from Wilson’s Coffee & Tea in Racine, was originally a direct trade to a smaller whole sale provider, Bob-O-Link that is interested in sustainability, organic, and fair trade in the industry.

This Brazilian was roasted to the Full City (medium) to Full City + (medium-dark) level. The end result a cup that is naturally on the sweeter side, with nutty notes throughout. Over all this a a balanced cup with great body.

Harimau Tiger - Uncommon Grounds (more photos)

This is a medium-dark roasted single origin Sumatran from Uncommon Grounds in Appleton, WI. As the first signs of oil are clear, I would rate this as a Vienna level roast. The overwhelming flavor note is a deep and rich dark chocolate with a sweet ending. It is no wonder that this is their best seller.

Organic Ethiopia Hambela (natural processed) - Luna Coffee Roasters (more photos)

This organic, natural processed, coffee Luna Coffee Roasters starts with a strong blueberry aroma and bright citrus notes, ending with black cherry notes. There is a sweetness throughout, as well as a juicy body.

Have been sampling this in my aeropress for a few days now, sharing with family and friends. This is a wonderful roast from Luna, one I have to try again soon, as well as some of their other single origins.
