I've got my rainbow today. How about you? @mysocialcanvas @chefhunterzampa @cheflaurenz #foodiechats #wholekidsfoundation
We are excited to announce the launch of our Eat a Rainbow back to school collection selling at 30 Whole Foods Market locations in NYC and beyond! The collection was inspired by 7 year old Jimmy T's idea that healthy and delicious salads should be bright and colorful.
Jimmy said it best when he said, "Rainbows make people happy. Eating salads that are bright and colorful make us healthy. Eat a Rainbow Everyday!" This collection supports the work of Whole Kids Foundation's Let's Move Salad Bars to Schools grant program as they help place more salad bars in schools nationwide. For more about Joya Logue, the creative artist that helped bring Jimmy's idea to fruition, stay tuned. We can't wait to share Joya's story and tell you more about the inspiration behind Jimmy's "Eat a Rainbow" concept!
It's volunteer week at work. Although sadly this does not apply to contractors such as myself, it has me in the do-gooder spirit. So when buying lunch from the store (yes HQ is right upstairs from the awesome flagship store) and the cashier asked me if I wanted to donated 50 cents to the Whole Kids Foundation, I said yes. SUPER SIMPLE good deed. And kids do need more salads!
Happy to support Whole Foods" "Whole Kids Foundation". http://www.wholekidsfoundation.org/ Teaching kids to eat properly and check out the school garden grant program. Kids, dirt and food - a perfect fit. Thank you Whole Foods Robson St for allowing us to participate!...and we got to get ourselves back to the garden..
