Another Punisher teaser!!
@wholemeasure fam you know what this is buckle your seatbelt
soldiers are taught about torture, how in the end, a man will BREAK and let go. you don’t quite get used to the pain. but then again, you can’t tell a mother she doesn’t know PAIN. life giver / meet your antithesis. a fist landed on her ribcage; a contraction seared all the way up her spine. her hand tightened around the arm rest; her sweaty palm slipped before she was able to cling to his hand tighter.
she will awake blearily in a room with sunlight streaming in, after she closes her eyes to the night outside her window. she’ll shift uneasily, looking around before her eyes will finally meet. “where is he?” she’ll ask, a near hysteria in her voice.
“where is he?”
that needling voice demanded as she closed her eyes. her composure failed her as he leaned over her, hot breath against her cheek. maria instinctively FLINCHED back, whimpering. she refused to look. she refused to speak. this wasn’t how it was supposed to end, but she’d be DAMNED before she dragged her family into her mistakes. she let herself be seen, be CAUGHT. it wouldn’t matter. soon, the bulletin would release the video. soon, those she loved would no longer hide in the shadows. like those days years ago that gave her those BEAUTIFUL children, the pain would be WORTH IT.
... but she couldn’t help but wonder, if they’d ever know what happened to her. after all this, would they even find the body?
@wholemeasure ♥’d for a starter
Coincidence brought her to the darkened warehouse district tonight. If she hadn’t noticed an old friend while she was at the shady convenience store three blocks over, Lisa would have been holed up in some shitty apartment she’d have broken into for the night. As luck would have it, she was given a lead instead. When their eyes collided, his widened in pure panic. Dropping the bag of cocaine in hand, he turned on his heel and fled here in the hopes of hiding. She can’t say he wasn’t smart. He knew what would happen when she lay hands on him. All she needed was a name who could tell her where she was. Then Lisa could sleep at night. Maybe then the dreams would go away. As she neared the door he’d ran into, there were two loud bangs from inside. Gunshots. Shit! Moving frantically, she squared her body, bent one leg at the knee and kicked in the door. Gun up and eyes alert, the girl crept into the wet smelling abandoned warehouse. Light from street lamps poured in half broken windows and reflected off small puddles on the concrete. A taller man than the one she’d been chasing stood in the light. Standing firm, Lisa Castle raised the gun square with his chest. “Hands up! Nice and slow.” She tried to peer around him, to find Jeremiah. Did he kill him? “Where did he go? Jeremiah? What happened to him?”
