“Life is too short to spend it a slave to ambition.” The disgraced doctor knew this all too well. With Peter being so young, he fears he may fall into the same trap. Otto had been young once, and spent his life’s work on the protostar only for it to fail-- whatever fate may hold for the protostar now, he assumes it to be bad. While he’s ashamed of it now, he doesn’t want the same to happen to anybody else- much less the boy-wonder that’s saved him from a fate of insanity. He works diligently next to said boy, fashioning a serum for Norman with what limited knowledge of what the man had done to himself.

There had been a radiance of something not too far from the symbiote ( inhabiting a bird in its current state ), piquing its interest. The last time it had felt this, it was still recovering in the church, hearing Eddie’s prayers. It had felt his anger, his anguish, his pain. And a similar feeling is striking through the creature, prompting it to direct the bird downwards, towards a windowsill. The crow pecks impatiently at glass before the symbiote leaves and seeps through a small crack underneath, snaking towards Miller, understanding of his emotions. It reaches his foot and trails up his calf before disappearing underneath his skin, trailing upwards still.

There it is, the amygdala, and it wastes no time making itself comfortable here. It, too, needs a level of comfort. Perhaps its presence can placate Miller, and if not, well, it wouldn’t be too disinterested in trying to hunt down Peter Parker again. > WHY ARE YOU ANGRY? < It’s a simple question, though most would find it hard to answer at times. > CAN FEEL YOUR FEELINGS, BUT CANNOT READ YOUR THOUGHTS. < It wishes it could, though. Maybe then it would understand Peter’s harsh words.
