"Remember t' keep your eyes and ears peeled," Yusuke said as he had managed to get them jobs at this camping site. They worked with the kitchen crew, mere assistants to aid the head cook. "Though it wouldn't be bad t' actually come t' a place like this.." Especially when parents and their children would be arriving soon.

"Yep, as always," she promised with a nod, having already scoped out the layout of the campsite as they arrived. The one thing she seemed to always retain was keeping her guard up at least a little, trying to be aware of her surroundings even if there was no immediate danger. "Wish there had been a place like this to go to when I was a kid. It seems like a lot of fun."

To say that she's surprised is an understatement when she caught sight of Deunan quite dressed up, and Selphie gave her a very impressed whistle. "Oooh, Deunan! You look amazing!" She said, beaming at her friend before pausing to think for a moment. Was there some event she'd forgotten...? Was she supposed to be looking all fancy, too? "What's the occasion? Got something special planned?"

"It wasn't that bad, really!" Leave it to Selphie to cut a training session short due to bad footing that rolled her ankle in a way it wasn't meant to go. Despite her reassurances that she was fine and she could walk it off, she most definitely could not, and her husband wasted no time in scooping her up to carry her back home.

With a playful pout, her disappointment was short-lived, as she took the opportunity to lean in closer and pepper his neck with kisses, eventually able to capture his lips when Masaru turned his head towards her. "What would I do without my prince charming there to save me?"

"None at all?" Curiosity had gotten the better of her, leaning in closer with her interest piqued and studying Dona before she responded. In some fashion, she could understand the feeling, even though it wasn't necessarily the way that she functioned; but with her optimistic attitude, all she could do was try to find the good in the situation. "Well, y'know, what's done is done and you can't really do anything to reverse it. Might as well not dwell on it 'cause that won't do you any good." An outlook that Selphie still struggled with from time to time, from perhaps a different kind of guilt that hung over her head in some capacity or another on a daily basis.

"'Course not, silly! I figured you were busy when I didn't see you earlier, that's all." She had been scurrying towards the entry gates when Zell caught her attention, but with plenty of time to spare to catch her train out of town, she didn't mind sticking around for a little longer to properly say her goodbyes.

"You wanna tag along up north this time? I could always use the company!" Trabia's climate was known for being brutal in the winter, but during the summertime, it was quite mild more often than not. "Wouldn't hurt to get away from the heat wave, would it?"

"Of course we're gonna meet again," she said confidently, fists planted on her hips. Ever the bubbly burst of optimism, Selphie would have bet all her gil that even a mission of this caliber wouldn't be enough to take Squall down, important though it was. "I'll hold your spot on the Garden Festival Committee for as long as it takes 'til you come back."

It was mostly a joke, considering she hadn't actually followed through on pestering him to take part in any of the festival planning yet. The main point of her comment was to get one of the signature Squall responses to her antics: a roll of his eyes, a sigh through his nose, or even one of his facepalms that he dished out to the more extreme ideas Selphie came up with.

Even so, she was genuinely concerned for him, and she snapped back to a tone that sounded a bit more serious. "At least let us know you're safe when you get there, okay? If we don't hear from you after a few days, I might have to go hunt you down myself!"

She wasn't going to lose another one of her friends ever again if she could help it.

"Sheesh, I thought they'd just keep showin' up." What had seemed like a simple request turned out to be anything but; a house seemingly haunted by maybe a few spirits who were starting to annoy the neighbors turned out to be a den of dozens, immediately turning hostile when Yusuke tried to shoo them away. Thankfully, though it had taken a while to fight each one off, they were both a little beaten up but mostly okay, and Selphie reached out to intertwine her fingers with his to give his hand a reassuring squeeze. "Buuut... How're we gonna go about cleaning all of this up now?"
