boys get in fights and declared “boys will be boys” and it’s brushed off. girls get in fights and suddenly we’re all “catty bitches who can’t get along” even though some people just naturally don’t get along

There was actually a test done with hidden video cameras, and two actors playing the roles of a couple. The first time around they had the male actor shoving and yelling at the female actor, and people came up to him and told him to stop. However, they tried the reverse the next time. The male actor was shoved and yelled at, and even thrown up against a wall, and passersby just laugh. Depressing isn't it? :/

It just shows how much toxic masculinity there is within the society, and how important it is for people being able to recognize abuse and tear down gender roles/stereotypes. Abuse is never okay - no matter the gender or the relationship. As much as it is depressing, and as much as I know the world will never be perfect - I know it can better than the way it is now. We just have to work together and make ourselves aware.

All male musicians are gay.

No woman should EVER be president.

Her husband gets on to their son if he sings, b/c that is gay.

Wow I love it when I get cornered in a bar where I work and cannot leave because my shift has not ended and guys harass me about if I'm dating anyone and if I want to go out with them and ignore my 'no's repeatedly and then try to show me their bank account statements like I care and all the time I just want to evaporate yes so g r e a t. Love my job

Just got so angry with my mom… I’m playing Trivia Crack against my BF & I was like “grr he beat me in last 2 games I can’t let him win this one!” (Total silly grr, not mad lol) & mom goes, “well boys do better in those games bc so much history and science and that kind of hard stuff.” … yeah.

This is ridiculous

The same people who tell me to never walk alone at night are the same ones who tell me I overreact when a guy makes me feel uncomfortable. How can someone acknowledge that women face dangers yet condemn them for fearing them?
