If your wolfPAW account states that you have been “Deferred” this means that you may benefit from the opportunity to provide improved fall grades and test scores before a decision is made during Final Review in March. You will receive an email in February to enter your fall grades through your wolfPAW account. Please DO NOT send us an updated transcript. If you have additional SAT or ACT scores, contact the testing agency to request that they be sent to us electronically. You can view which scores have been received by our office on your wolfPAW application status screen. During Final Review we will focus on your academics therefore we do not offer interviews and letters of recommendation are not required or recommended. Deny
If your wolfPAW account states that you have been “Denied,” this means you will not be able to enroll at NC State University for the Fall of 2015, nor can you apply for a different major at this time. HOWEVER, this does not mean that you will never be able to attend, just that you have the opportunity now to take college level coursework elsewhere and work towards transferring to NC State. The transfer requirements can be found here.
Please note that different factors are considered in the transfer process than the freshmen admissions process. You will need at least 30 transferable college credits. These can be obtained through any regionally accredited Community College or other College/University. After completing this work, you will need to submit a new application through your wolfPAW account.
