Molded Society
Society breaks us all
And there's nothing to prevent the fall
We are all taught to fit to design
And we have to resign
To accept our fates
Fit the mold in order to date
-
People hide behind masks
Letting others go on with their tasks
Acting how they are expected
So that they will not be rejected
Behind it all they are different
Wishing they could be belligerent
-
We're all sheep in the end
Because we follow the latest trend
Basking in our sameness
Making us all seem brainless
Fear those who are strange
And force them out of range
-
Outcasts behave in such a way
That makes the hold on others sway
Question why they continue on a track
That keeps them locked in a pack
Of people that all look the same
And they try to place blame
-
Why must we be a certain way
To attain the gaze of our prey
The people whose attention we crave
It makes us our own slave
Chained by our desires
And our wishes to inspire
-
Society destroys us
We are all inglorious
For we are not ourselves
But just models of shells
Painted by society's laws
Trapped in its deadly jaws
-
We must free ourselves
Break through chains and repel
The nonsense ways of these days
And be our own selves in our own way
Cast down our masks
And finally be able to be on our own track
