What’s something new that you tried in a gifset this year? How did it turn out?

hooo boy, animation/keyframes was my big learning goal TM this year. i think this cheesy valentine's day set was my first attempt at it, i can notice the mistakes now but it took me ages to figure out and i'm super proud of it! now i know the theory behind it i am much quicker at it too haha

7. Did you participate in any gif event this year? How that went for you?

I did some for ps central, though I didn't post them because I got injured then sick so couldn't make the deadlines but they'll appear out of my drafts eventually <3

8. Were you inspired for a fellow gifmaker to make a gifset?

Absolutely yes, I wanted to go back to doing the occasional elaborate edit thanks to @immortalsins lovely hannibal edit which is super detailed and i always think about it omg! I'm also just in awe of gifmakers that can colour that show because I've tried and failed so many times, it's a tough one because it's so dark

16. Do you have a favorite gifset you made this year?

This set of Gaius and Six from Battlestar Galactica, whose dynamic lives rent free in my head but I absolutely love their scenes together haha and I always get some interesting commentary either in the tags, or straight to my ask box about it! It made people curious and I love that.

Thank you for this blog. Some of these icons I had as my AIM photo and I used on my MySpace account back in the day and it's bringing back memoires of me and my friends staying up late and talking and making the layout for my MySpace. Thank you for bringing back good memories and bringing back the 2000s via icons (especially the emo and emo band icons)

The reason why Brent was kicked out was because he was a major asshole when he was told he wasnt progressing with the band and he made big deal about it. I feel that the band split in 2009 was also because of egos mostly on Brendon's side. But also too, Jon said that a major reason was because the record company wanted the band to have writers write and do everything musically for them and Ryan and Jon didn't want that, while Brendon and Spencer did and that's a big reason why the band split

right excatly nothing rhymes couldnt have happened if brent was there, he would fit more into like....a garage band where he only has to play a few chords, he didn’t even play on fever. Right, panic, as Ryan left, seemed less honest(?i guess) and we all know they have 6 writers on one song now it just seems manufactured. I know that Ryan had a hard time especially with the label, i think fbr has declined and i dislike how they treat their bands now

I don’t know if you’ve been asked this before but, in your opinion is the best MCR album and why?

absolutely the black parade

part of it is definitely sentimental. it’s the first one that i heard, i have a terrible memory in general but i have such a strong memory of listening to it the first time. i knew wttbp, famous last words, and teenagers before i downloaded the whole thing (i’ve told the whole story why that got me to download the whole thing before multiple times so i will spare you those details for right now) but i vividly remember that time, laying on my bed listening to that album for the first time it was daylight when i started it and the sun went down while i was watching it so as it ended i was suddenly in the quiet in the dark in my room feeling like....a completely changed person. i literally felt different. i’ve obviously changed a lot over my life but listening to that album for the firs ttime changed me fundamentally.

i listened to that and nothing else for over a month after.

musically i could think of reasons that that, bullets, or revenge could all be favorite albums. i listen to any of them and im like fuck this is perfect.

but tbp will forever be the most special thing to me. getting past just knowing the singles and listening to that album was a catalyst for everything else in my life. the music that i now listen to, the friends that i have, the experiences i’ve has in my life, the way that i dress, the list goes on. i owe everything to that.
