Running Away
At fifteen, turn-tailing seems the only panacea,
To those prodding and fleeting home diarrheas.
Some say turning back does not equate to bravery,
But, it’s perplexing as I only want to fly out of this wavery.
Every day feels like yearning for the wind to carry me.
I wonder, am I destined to flee?
Or are these just another covet to run away from today?
Because I know every tomorrow, I’ll find my way.
