UTMV cat breeds?

I've decided to make a big ol' post with what cat breed each utmv sans would be because I may or may not make a warrior cats AU >:3

Big ass post under cut so beware lol

Star Sanses:

Dream would be a bright coloured Somali cat that looks something like this ^

I was originally going to make him a long-haired, high-orange tortoiseshell (that would also be a nice visual indicator that Dream is intersex, cuz torties and calicos can only be female if you didn't know), but I couldn't find a breed or body type I liked, so he's a Somali

Ink is a calico Kurilian Bobtail that could also be a chimaera like this one ^

Just like Dream, Ink is intersex, so the calico makes sense and looks good!

Blue would be a lynx point because... blue. And he'd probably be an American Bobtail, so his fur would be a bit shorter than this, but similar enough ^

Not sure what to say about Blue other than that I chose an American Bobtail because I want Blue to be a beefy little tank >:3

Dark Sanses/Bad Guys:

Nightmare, just like Dream, is a Somali, except he's a lot darker, with barely any gold at all, like this lovely gentleman ^

Nightmare is also intersex and has a big scar covering the right side of his face from a car accident. He has various other scars covering his body, but the second largest is a long slash that goes over his right shoulder and down his neck from the same accident

Dust is a blue tuxedo Scottish Fold, but I couldn't find a lot of images, so just pretend this one doesn't have the muzzle and arm spots, and has less white ^

Dust was a pedigree that ran away because of abusive owners and ended up in the abandoned building Nightmare calls his castle

Killer is a silver tabby, but unlike the one in the image, he's a European Shorthair, not an American Shorthair (his face is pointier) ^

Killer also has cataracts so his vision is piss poor but I couldn't find an eye condition that made the eyes black and doesn't permanently blind the cat :(

Horror is a classic brown tabby Maine Coon like this one ^

I was going to say he got in a car accident, but the damage wouldn't make sense if that were the case, so instead, he got mauled by a dog and lost his right eye and left ear. He obviously has a plethora of other scars

Cross is a white Norwegian Forest Cat with little black spotting, a little less black than this one ^

He's a big fluffy boy, not sure what else to say lol

Other AUs and Outcodes:

Error is a black LaPerm because I need him to be scruffy af, but not Lykoi kinda scruffy. His colours would also be a bit scruffy like this little guy ^

He has a cataract in his right eye, so his vision isn't the best, and he kinda squints in that eye because of an old infection he somehow managed to walk off

Fresh is a red fox :3

Ok, hear me out, ik a fox isn't a cat breed, but listen. Fresh is technically a parasite, and since the zombie virus isn't a thing yet and tapeworms don't take over your body, it would make sense to make him a different species entirely. If you really want him to be a cat, tho, you could probably make him an orange and white Turkish Angora, but to me, it's either a fox or a funky small dog

Lust is a lilac point Siamese Cat like this one ^

I had a really hard time with his colours cuz I could have gone for a plain white, but I feel that doesn't really suit him, and purple cats aren't real, unfortunately

Sci is a Cornish Rex with this fawn colour, but make his fur a little more curly ^

Idk why I included him, but might as well since we have Lust here already

I love putting Nightmare in situations, but the problem with that is Nightmare is always prepared for every situation, so I kinda have to beat him to an inch of his life or give him some other disabilitating illness to keep him from running away. It's just how I do things. Can you blame a man for wanting to see his blorbo have serious and honest conversations about his emotions and feelings with people, when he does everything possible to avoid that exact scenario?? I dont think so. It's sick fics or nothing here pal. And I, for one, need to see Nightmare bleeding out on the ground right about now

Ough, the men. What:s your opinion on Dreammare?

And what's your opinion on evil Dream or evil Blue? (Evil in the way that they work with NM)

I personally like when Dream is apathetic towards humans or considers them bugs. I've also seen a few fics where Dream used his powers to kill (one time it was basically uncontrolled cell growth (= cancer) and the other was happiness overload causing SOULs to explode)

I hate Dreammare sm, they are siblings to me, and I don't wanna hear the whole "but in canon, Passive and Corrupted are different people!" thing. They are siblings to me, and even if they weren't, the ship would be weird and off-putting cuz of the fact that Nightmare's corpse is literally still inside Corrupted 😭

I do think evil Dream and evil Blue could be really fun ideas to explore, but I'm very particular about it. I don't think either of them would join the bad guys unless something awful and life-altering would happen to them, so that's another fun thing to explore with the concept. I do love a good 'Blue joins the bad guys' fic, but that might just be because I love character dissections and making someone with a completely different lifestyle and morals try to understand the bad guys, cuz it's just so appealing to me lmao

I do see the appeal in making Dream apathetic towards people (I've read lots of fic like that), but I'd never make my Dream like that; it's just not how I see him. His character can be so much fun in the context he's already been put in, and seeing what makes him even want to continue being a 'good guy' after all the suffering brings me so much joy. There's also the fact that people tend to make Dream 'evil' to make Nightmare seem like the victim, which is unfair to both the characters, not just Dream. Nightmare IS evil, and his guilt and emotions towards his own actions are what make him interesting to me. I love nuance, what can I say lol

The happiness overload thing also seems fun, but I have no clue how that would work in an AU like mine, especially since my Dream can't actually control people's emotions, he's just rlly good at manipulation lmao
