*slides into your dms* Love & Monsters you say??

This AU was inspired by the movie "Love & Monsters".

It starts in a post apocalyptic setting similar to that of the movie (blowing up a comet caused a bunch of animals to rapidly mutate into monsters). Entirely by accident, Steve wound up being with his girlfriend Nancy's little brother and his friends when the apocalypse happened, and the group of them have survived thus far by hiding out in a (modified to fit the setting) castle byers, and being very very cautious so as to have to fight the monsters as little as possible.

But Will got hurt, some time back, and despite their best efforts to treat the injury, he's got an infection now. They need medicine they do not have at castle byers, and Steve's already scoured the area within a day's walk or so of there looking for medicine and other important supplies and been unable to find what they need.

Steve can't leave the kids for more than a day at a time, so they're all going to have to go out together to try and find medicine for Will, a better place to set up (Castle Byers is compromised and increasingly unsafe), and other survivors (if there even is any).

On their journey they're going to encounter Billy & Max, who had only just moved to Hawkins mere days before the apocalypse started, and a lot of other characters. Billy & Max are going to somewhat take on the roles that Clyde & Minnow have in the movie, having survived together in a very different way than Steve and the party have.

Dart gets to have a part in this story too, and is a monster that Dustin befriends.

Also in this AU Chrissy and Eddie find Holly by herself and out in the open shortly after the apocalypse and have been taking care of her together since then.

Eventually the (now bigger) group makes their way to Murray's bunker (which has also been modified for setting) and get to reunite with some of their lost loved ones. Steve's been feeling guilty this whole time for developing feelings for Billy since he and nancy were still together when the apocalypse started and he doesn't know if she's still alive, but when they arrive at the bunker Nancy has already moved on (assuming Steve died) so, after feeling a bit wrecked that she assumed he'd die and also that she moved on so quickly, he finally lets himself acknowledge the feelings he's developed for Billy and they get their happily ever after.

obviously i need to know more about the hybrid au!

Discount Dog - Hybrid AU is a WIP I really need to work on more, I really like this one but I guess I've been too distracted by other projects.

In this AU hybrids (their own unique species, with various breeds/subspecies that have various different animal features) are essentially luxury pets, they are very expensive to buy, and have about the same legal standing as a normal dog or cat, despite actually being much closer to humans than they are to the animals they share features with.

Steve, a human, has never put too much thought into hybrids, besides thinking they are cool. That is, until he gets to know Dustin, a bunny hybrid whose dad was a hybrid and whose mom is human.

Unfortunately, unaware of his changing opinions on hybrids, Steve's parents decide to get him one for christmas (something he would have been very excited for just a few years ago). He knows there's no changing their minds on this, so after talking it over with Dustin he resolves to get one and just treat them well and make sure they know they can leave if they want to.

He is entirely unprepared to find Billy, Max's stepfather's wolfdog hybrid, on sale at the nearest hybrid store in Indianapolis.

please tell me more about android steve

Android Steve is an AU at least slightly inspired by chobits (which my brother watched ages ago and I caught bits and pieces of)

Billy Hargrove likes androids. They are marvels of science and technology, super useful, and in his mind, the ultimate status symbol. He knows if he is ever going to hope to afford one of his own, he is going to have to work really hard, get into a good school, get good scholarships, graduate with honors, and land a job with a high salary.

He plans to do just that, but those plans seem totally fucked over when Neil decides to move them out to Hawkins. The schools Billy went to in LA were overcrowded and underfunded, but at least they had engineering and tech programs.

The closest Hawkins High has is a generic shop class or an auto repair class.

Billy can feel his dreams, and his chance at the future he wants, slipping through his fingers, until one night he chances upon an android someone left by a dumpster.

The thing is obviously beat up and in need of repairs, it wont turn on, and billy has no idea what's wrong with the internals... but it's also the prettiest android he's ever seen and it's free.

He takes the android home and gets to work trying to fix it. He has to work slowly because he doesn't have much money for parts and while he's read a lot about them and watched a lot of videos, he's never really actually worked on one before.

Eventually he gets the android fixed up enough to turn on, but for some reason the thing still can't speak and seems to be still unable to access most of it's memory, and several other things don't seem to be working right.

Billy starts referring to the android as pretty boy, at least when neil's not around, because he isn't sure what else to name him.

Eventually Dustin spots Steve, when coming over to visit Max or something, and recognizes him as Nancy's old android. Dustin is ecstatic, he'd been so upset when he heard that Nancy got rid of Steve because she said he would be more expensive to fix than he was worth.

Dustin offers Billy his life savings (which isnt really that much) to buy Steve off him, but Billy's unwilling to sell. Instead, Billy offers a compromise, once he finds out Dustin is pretty tech savvy. If Dustin helps Billy out with some of the (still ongoing) repairs then he can visit with Steve sometimes.

"a prince and his knight"? tell me about this please

A Prince and His Knight is an AU I've been working on where Steve is the crown prince of his country. His father, the king, wanted him to marry a foreign princess for the benefit of the country, but Steve finally convinced him to let him marry Nancy, the daughter of a lesser noble in their own country, just in time for her to run off and elope with someone else.

Heartbroken and floundering, Steve's father (and the royal guard) quickly become fed up with him. He's avoiding his duties as crown prince, spending most of his time drunk or at brothels (or drunk in brothels), and just generally being a pain to deal with.

Which is how Billy, a low born foreigner just recently promoted into the royal guard, gets assigned the job no one else wants to do, to be Prince Steve's personal guard (and babysitter).

Since the plans with Nancy fell through, Steve's father is going to try and move forward with the original plan to have Steve marry a foreign princess, and he is going to expect Billy to get Steve in line and behaving well enough not to mess that up.

Billy would honestly rather quit this job and look elsewhere for employment, but he's not exactly in a position to do so. He knows if he pisses off the king or the captain of the royal guard he wont be able to find work in this country again, at least not work he wants to do, and he has his own secrets and reasons for needing to stay here.

And yeah, basically this story idea is just an excuse to play around with a vaguely medieval fantasy setting. I have plans to incorporate Robin, Heather, Dustin, Max, Eddie, and Chrissy into this AU as well.
