I need a whole thesis to talk about fanfiction being the most accessible form of literature and not inherently lesser but also why are “classics” the end all be all of “quality writing?”

Favorite #halloween costume from last night? Or when your area commenced with the tricks or the treats?! 🎃 Mine was the tiny UPS driver with the @amazon box to collect candy. So clever and adorable! Asher fell in love with a T-Rex and Iyla wanted nothing to do with anyone 😂 we had such a fun time going around with our nephew though we had lots of concerned neighbors asking why we didn’t decorate. Next year, my lovely ghouls, next year! 🎃 Speaking of Halloween costumes! Today is my feature for the @penguinteen #wickedreads #blogtour 🤘🏻 the witchy and awesome @fab.reads asked me to play a game. I had to pick a candy (Twizzlers) and a date (today) and I would get an eeriesistible #spookyread with some unBOOlieveable treats! My treat?! #thesacrificebox by @martin_j_stewart ☠️ first, let me say, if you love #yahorror and I mean, can’t sleep in the dark WHY IS THE WIND HOWLING LIKE THE DEVIL OH GOD IM GOING TO DIE horror, you need this book! Ya Horror can be hit or miss, but everything, EVERYTHING, in this book was dark and full of terrors! Plus, it had all the 80’s vibes. Go get it! In the meantime, head over to my blog, link in my bio, to see what Halloween costumes I imagine the five characters would choose! Totally 80’s appropriate too!!! I had so much fun with this feature and cannot wait for more!!!! (at Nightmare Forest) https://www.instagram.com/p/BppyfdQn5xD/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=17oukeczojyvf
Oh hey there! Mr Bones was so excited to host his first #wickedreadalong that he woke me up early. Like a little zombie before Halloween ☠️📖☠️ I made him wait until I had at least one cup of coffee or we’d both be living in the world of the undead 😳 okay! Here we go! 📖 📖 📖 ☠️ 1) So far we’ve met the major players of the wagon train. What are some first impressions? 📖 ☠️ 2) It seems that there’s something that links the families together. Do you think that is going to be important as their journey progresses? 📖 ☠️ 3) What do you think happened with Luke? 📖 ☠️ 4) Is there something or someone following the train? What do you think it is? 📖 ☠️ 5) We all know how the Donner Party ends in real life. What are your predictions with this supernatural twist? 📖 ☠️ we also have a question for @almakatsu since we heard a rumor that she might be on here today..... what made you choose to add a supernatural twist to the story of #thedonnerparty ☠️ 📖 @thepagesinbetween @paperobscura and I will be around all day! And Mr Bones. He brought snacks 😂😂😂 if you haven’t read #thehunger yet, grab your copy and join us over @thepagesinbetween for our final chat April 28!!! * * * * * * * * #bookstagram #bibliophile #bookchat #bookclub #almakatsu #paperobscura #skeletonlife #booklife #booklove #horror #thrillingreads #fortheloveofbooks #bookobsessed #bookobsession #wickedreaders #wickedreads #wickedreader #putnambooks #alwaysreading #jenabrownwrites #bookstagrammer #booktribe #bookstagramcommunity #bookography #bookart
Slasher Girls and Monster Boys- Stitches
I was no longer Sage Adams, quiet country girl with tears streaming her face, thinking of the jar of formaldehyde hidden in the garden shed with a finger afloat inside, worn with the dove-shaped imprint of a ring. Instead, I was a chef in a renowned restaurant, peeling the skin off a kiwi for a gourmet fruit sorbet.
So I took loads of pictures the other day bc the lighting was bomb diggity…lol. Plus I was almost late for class because I was reading Slasher Girls and Monster Boys 🕓. •
So I did manage to finish Slasher Girls & Monster Boys yesterday which was my goal! Yay! I have to say, I really enjoyed this anthology—all of the stories were very well written and inventive (and scary). I’m so glad that I participated in this readalong and I hope to participate in more on Booklr!
