The Bude Formation consists of sand and mud layers deposited in a giant tropical 'Lake Bude' 300 million years ago, later compressed and distorted when Britain and France collided.

Spent a couple of hours on Widemouth bay beach today :) took loads of photos on my camera. Once I’m back I’ll sift through them and choose the best. I had a lovely day and was nice to feel the wind in my hair, sea air filling my lungs and watching my boys search for crabs in the rock pools ❤️
Tomorrow is set to be sunny and we are thinking of bay hopping lol find a nice pub for a couple of drinks and chill out 🥰
