Today is a first Summer day!!!! And I fill like I must tall you about Aperol Spritz. This cocktail is a symbol of summer days in Vienna. It is really the most beloved summer Viennese cocktail (Hugo competes but about it later). So the moment you walk streets of Vienna and see here and there small orange suns people drinking at the cafes – you know the summer has come…It is also a great cocktail for any garden party, try it if you didn’t yet and you’ll love it. I am giving you a recipe right at this point. Recipe of Original Aperol Spritz: 2 parts of Aperol (is a famous bitter-fruit Italian liquor which has bright orange colour) 3 parts of Prosecco (sparkling wine, in Vienna we do it also with white wine) 1 part of soda 1 slice of orange per glass Ice cubes It is important to keep in mind the following rules, when preparing the cocktail. Rule 1 – all ingredients should be very cold/ice cold. Rule 2 – order is important: first put ice (2/3 of the glass), then add Prosecco, then Aperol and only after – soda. In this way cocktail will be mixed together better. Serve with slice of orange and a straw.
