Stereotastic is the new 3D Porch
3D Porch closing down and the end of SpotPass for SwapNote/Nintendo Letter Box were the saddest things to hit the Nintendo 3DS for me last year. I've been playing around and it seems that finally we have a replacement for the site. Woo hoo!
Stereotastic is slick and simple. The ability to correct both horizontal and vertical alignment is just fantastic. You can do this in StereoPhoto Maker of course but for some reason Tumblr doesn't like those GIFs. Adjusting each photo before finalising the upload works great. I'm making a bookmarklet of course.
Let's get back to wigglepics!
My 3D photos never turn out this cool ⊟
It's hard to take an awesome photo with the 3DS's camera -- the feature was obviously built with gameplay functions in mind and not for taking high quality shots. This is still the coolest wigglepic I've seen taken with a 3DS.
The above shot turned out so cool because No Anchor took it with a fancy Nimslo stereo camera. I hope someone caught the Game Boy Color and that it's now in the hands of someone who loves the portable.
