I worked in an outdoor store for over 5 years. I always thought of Wigwam as hiking and camping. Never in the running space.
I received my socks and noticed a few standouts. The word RUN was in bold letters and MADE IN USA up top. A few other key points.
Dry Fast No Blisters No Odor Seamless Toe
I wore these a few times running. I haven’t done many long runs yet so I would hope I wouldn’t get a blister. However, I did change shoes and haven’t had a blister from wearing new shoes.
Dry Fast, yesterday I ran and I was very sweaty. All over, it was cold and I was sweaty. Not fun. My socks were a little damp I could tell after my run. I had a few things to do before I got a chance to change. Thankfully when I finally took my Wigwam socks off they were not damp and putting clean socks on wouldn’t be gross,
Seamless toe, pretty common now a days with running socks. I didn’t feel any weird rubbing or have any imprints on my foot from the stitching like I do with other socks.
No odor, well I opted not to smell my socks around my new co workers, but when I took my running clothes of my bag I couldn’t smell anything so, that is a win.
Overall these are definitely great socks. I look forward to continuing to wear them. They aren’t too low that my shoes rub and they aren’t too high that everyone can see my socks. (I do feel weird sporting the Ironman Logo when I haven’t done one yet) There is just enough cushion to feel like I have something on my foot, but not too much.
