@nintendo make a Wii 2. Home console on par w/ a ps4 with a remote style motion controller. Make it out if the box compatible with old Wii and Wii u games and peripherals, and let you pair switches to use them like Wii u game pads. Include a switch pro controller in the box. I think Nintendo fans would be incredibly willing to pay a premium console price for it + the lasting legacy of the Wii basically guarantees success of a return to that form factor.
I'll make another more detailed post in a bit I think, maybe with a graphic or poll or something, but basically my idea is;
Wii 2 - a home console on par with 8th Gen consoles like the ps4
Comes with a wiimote style motion controller and a switch pro style gamepad
Backwards compatibility with Wii and Wii u software when appropriate hardware is paired (tbh with the pro controller included, making it disc based also invites GameCube backcom)
Can pair to switch consoles for Wii U gamepad style features for games for both consoles or local multiplayer
Pairing it to a switch could also let it function as a switch dock with an extra GPU; ie let you play switch games at 4k or 120fps or smthn.
It would def be a more premium console than Nintendo usually tries for these days, but I think it would complement the switch like perfectly while bringing back a lot of the cool features of the Wii family that got abandoned.
