I think it's such a heartbreaking sweet detail that Brad most likely is the one that put a tracker in Vash's arm when he built it; and maybe at first it WAS the lingering suspicion of who this non-human person is, but then it turned into 'at least we always know where he is' 'at least if its moving that means he's alive'
