Frost and minty cocoa! 💚

Frost: Do you believe in magic?I guess I do in a way. I believe positivity can have a magical effect and that there are places in the world straight out of fiction. I don’t believe that Hogwarts magic exists but I believe in the magic of Disney and Universal Studios.

Minty Cocoa: Tell a story you love!One time, my family was away for a vacation in Mexico for a while and nobody was checking our mail for us during that time. At this time, we had a big black lab that would often find ways to break through the fence at our house. It wasn’t too difficult anyways. That fence had been through many hurricanes. So, when we got back, the first thing that my dad decided to do was check the mail. He stepped outside and got as far as half-way to the mailbox before he was tackled by a dog the size of a horse. He was knocked to the ground and had to bring the dog into the house with him after to try to fix the hole the dog had made in the fence. It took a while. She really messed up that fence.

"It'll will be worth it, you know?"

Tonks had whispered this late one night and the words had haunted his every waking hour since. Worth it to hold their son, to raise him in a world without Death Eaters or this blasted war? Oh yes. Definitely. How could something so worthwhile be anything less than desirable?

There was a feeling however, pitted deep within himself, that told Remus he wouldn’t be around to see such a thing. He fought and pleaded, more quietly over this than his other fears of life he’d potentially sentenced his son to, but Tonks would hear none of either sense. Certainly not within the confines of their bed.

She hardly ever believed him when it came to these things, and to be honest he didn’t entirely blame her. Not after he’d attempted to reject her so adamantly beforehand based upon seemingly similar, intangible reasons. 

This feeling was vastly different however, and even a man like Remus, as clever as he was, feared to put a name to it. It wasn’t just a feeling he got, it was an overwhelming sensation of dread and inevitability. This war would take him before his time. He could only pray it passed over those he loved like an unfortunate but ultimately harmless dark cloud. This war wouldn’t be worth surviving if they were lost to it as well.

Fate was kind to Remus, for it took him first, and being unafraid of death, in spite of his reservations, there was nothing left of his mind to linger on in this world. Still, he saw Tonks again, much sooner than he might ever have liked, and he cursed her name profusely; hugging her to him all the while. She muttered, mournfully tear-eyed but relieved to see him, “Still worth it, don’t you think?”

He wanted to shout ‘no’, to refute the idea completely but Remus found a sound ‘yes’ reverberating from his lips. Of course it was worth it. Even loosing Teddy, knowing Teddy had lost them... Remus had done nothing but lose his entire life it seemed. But this time, this time he’d finally won. Won something big. And that, the safety and promise of a good life for his son, made everything worthwhile.
