❝ You’re doing fine. You can handle this. ❞
★*゚‘゚・ STEPHEN KING’S IT (1990)
There was silence for a long moment as Bill thought over her words. He often wondered if he could handle it. The other losers…they looked up to him for some reason. There had been an unspoken agreement that Bill was their leader and he never fully understood why.
For the most part, they listened to him.
He was worried that listening to him would get them killed. Bill knew that his quest for justice for Georgie might get him killed, but he owed it to his little brother. His friends didn’t have that obligation and he didn’t want to drag them down with him, especially if he was unable to keep a level head.
“IT kn-knows…IT knows how to gu-gu-get to us the most. I’ll see Juh-Juh-Georgie.” Bill knew it wasn’t really his brother, but if that thing took on Georgie’s appearance again…well, Bill wasn’t sure if he would be able to hurt something that looked like his little brother.
