Day 16: Give some fic recs

Oh BOY do I have some fic recs!!!

I'll link these two fic rec posts I've made before for Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes, & Helmut Zemo and for House MD. Most of those are whump fics.

I've read some really fabulous whump fics by my wonderful mutual @whumpdoyoumean for various fandoms (which you can also read on ao3) Many Slow Horses fics that I love!!!!! But I'm of course so biased towards the Suits fanfic This Too Shall Pass because I'm never normal about that show lol. Framing this fic im my house

I've read some absolutely incredible Emmerdale fics and I'm genuinely still gnawing on this stunning fic set during Robert's prison time, meditations on; by @aelric. I also absolutely love this wonderfully angsty fic also about Robert prison era but with Liv(!!), built a place for you to land by @madroxed :) Scratching a great narrative itch lol

Cannottttt make a rec list without including the outstanding fics from @set-phasers-to-whump for various fandoms including both Slow Horses and Karppi/Deadwind. Sakari Nurmi is SUCH a good character to whump and phase does it so well <33 nothing there is probably my favorite one but they're all so good

Day 16: Give some fic recs

for this one i am going to give a couple recs for my newer fandoms since they are what i have been reading a lot of lately! i will limit myself to one per fandom for brevity but if you want more pls lmk, i have a spreadsheet i can share :)

Three Days - carmenta - tatort saarbrücken. this fic is soooo amazing, it deals with leo in the immediate aftermath of HdS and i would eat it if i could i will not lie. it's just such a good exploration of what those torturous days look like in between finding the flash drive and adam getting released from prison. i'm obsesseddd. i do fear you probably need to have seen the episode for this one to make full sense but it's so delicious!!

eight out of ten - amoripomoea - the pitt. this fic is a huge part of why i watched the show tbh. it's frank + appendicitis and the character dynamics are so good, and the suffering is simply exquisite. you can totally read this without having seen the show (as i did) but i suppose some details will make more sense if you know a little something about it.

Shiver - 221Browncoat (@whumpdoyoumean) - new blood. ok maybe i am biased bc this one was literally written for me but. i'm insane about this fic. it's thanks to this lovely person that i got into this show in the first place (courtesy of another fic of theirs) and ughhhh i wish more people knew the show so they would find this fic. i'm so normal about it and about them...like the whump of both characters is fantastic and their characters are beautifully done and there is just everything to love about this fic. everyone go read it nyeowwww and then go watch the show so we can have more people to scream about it pleaseeee :)

This is the moment to brag 7w7

First of all, a reminder that in my Whump Stories Archive (updated regularly) you can find some of the original whump stories I've read here on the platform, including my favorites ^^

Now, this is the moment to recommend some of my favorite whump fanfictions, the ones I read on AO3 whenever I want a quick whump craving:

First, I want to give another shout-out to @lady-wallace, because I simply think she's a spectacular writer and artist, and I never get tired of admiring her work. The Vento Aureo Vampire Hunter AU is probably my favorite fic series, aksjhdkahdkahs, it's just soooo awesome and has everything I love: nonhuman whumpee, found family, and whump!!!

Other fanfics that I find spectacular are those by @polyoptigon17. The Whumptober collections with Detroit: Become Human are simply spectacular! (plus nonhuman whumpee, found family, and parental caretaker).
