Sai intertwines her fingers together, staring at her nails, mouth dry just like her eyes. Sure, the lump in her throat felt like she could suffocate right away, but still she wasn’t going to let tears fall down. Even if her breath was shaky, even if her voice wasn’t steady... She couldn’t let her do that.

“I’m okay.” She replies, a soft, uncertain smile on her lips. “I swear. I’m okay.”
