After much exasperation with PhoneGap’s lack of documentation for beginners, I’ve stumbled across Wikitude’s plugin for Cordova. My first impression here is that there is loads more documentation available, and plenty of tutorials - this could be the fast road not only to getting a functioning camera view (all I wanted from PhoneGap!) but also to getting real AR going as well.
