When someone says something is "gay as hell" does that offend you?

When I hear someone say something is ‘gay as hell’ it’s usually one of my friends so it doesn’t bug me, because I know they’re aware of the significance of calling something gay and they’re being funny/dumb on purpose and there’s no malicious intent anyway. Like if you’re down with the homos and are hanging out with one fucking go for it and odds are he’ll be calling everything gay too. I know I do but I’m special needs so.

When I overhear some obnoxious 16 year old girl or group of dumbass college bros calling everything gay and they have no idea what that even means it can get on my nerves. The intent makes all the difference for me. But I do feel bad for teenage gay kids who have to hear their peers call stuff ‘gay’ all the time as a negative, and can understand why some folks think the phrase should probably just die though.
