{♧} Johnathan might have not worked past all of his issues with dueling, but that doesn't mean that he isn't going to push down all of his emotions for the sake of his daughter. Delilah is relying on him to help her hone her dueling skills and he has even less of an excuse now that she knows about his past. How could he carry all of this dueling knowledge and not share that with his little girl?
He can't keep running from his past. He can't let his daughter down. He can't let himself break down in front of Delilah again.
For someone who had been raised to suppress emotions for most of his childhood, Johnathan sure has become soft.
As soon as he knocks on the door of Delilah's room, something unexpected stops him in his tracks- or, rather, someone.
Alroy had summoned Wilbur to interrogate him and, hopefully, get him to apologize to Johnathan for his awful parenting. Of course, this means a clueless Wilbur is wandering around the house and it's hard for Alroy to supervise him. Since the duckling is with his mother at the moment, the man is completely unsupervised and completely capable of walking into the wrong place at the wrong time...like right now.
Johnathan leans against the wall next to the door, frozen like a deer in headlights. Wilbur is equally stunned, leaving the two to have an anxiety-filled staring contest.
Goodness only knows what will happen when the silence is broken. {♧}
