of course it wasn’t her first choice, spending her ride over to the party with the one man she decided she was going to try and avoid all night. it made sense though, right? the pairing for the MTV party was probably thought of months ago, leaving the ex-couple an obvious duo to put together. but now? it was just kind of weird. it was obvious to anyone that the singer still had feelings for her ex-boyfriend, so the thought of being forced to spend in a small and crowded space with him for the next however long made her body cringe. it was like excitement, but excitement that she regretted. “are we actually supposed to sing in here or what?” the least she could do was actually break up the silence before it even happened.
