Yeah, yeah I'm jumping on the spider-sona train myself. I wanted to with the first movie, but I didn't... really have a great handle on myself to begin with! Now though, I know that a little better, and can have myself some fun like this.
I introduce to you all: Wild Spider, Earth-5335
Mason Parker was never exactly the sharpest bulb in the crayon box. They weren't stupid, just had trouble making book smarts stick. Still, they wanted to help folks, routinely getting in trouble for jumping into dangerous situations way over their head, from bullies to petty theft. Knowing their friend had these ambitions with no way to channel them, one Artemis Osborn saw a way to help them both. She'd been working on a procedure that would enhance the naturally adaptive nature of the human body, using select traits from other species, but was falling short on volunteers, and time to secure a proper greenlight for it. It didn't take much discussion between the two trusted friends for Mason to take the plunge.
Initially, the plan had been to only infuse them with arachnid traits. The process however was going poorly, the human body initially violently rejecting the all too different sequences and biological changes. Panicking, not wanting to loose her only friend, Artemis thought quickly and introduced an additional layer of mammalian DNA to the procedure. The feline additive did just the trick, helping them adapt to and take in both. Though, the end result was unexpected. Mason now sported cat ears in place of their old human ones, and a tail. Their Spider traits hadn't seemed to manifest visually, possibly due to the initial rejection.
Safe and on their feet though, the two still took the experiment to be a success, designing an identity for them to hide behind, and sending them out into the city to collect data on their venture. Web shooters that doubled as gauntlets and pads on their feet and hands helped them traverse and stick to surfaces, while their cat like reflexes coupled with their spider based danger sensing made them ungodly nimble and untouchable. Not to mention the absurd strength and durability that came from both. So, as Wild Spider, guided by their friend in their ear, Mason had become the hero they'd always aspired to be.
This wolf spider was shockingly quick

Wild Spider Story Arc 5
I’m going to try to plan out one more story arc before writing everything up for reals. I might not get to it as quickly as I would like since new things have come to light and I want to get to those first. But I still want to do it. It’s fun. It’s something creative I could do and I have many ideas for storylines. This is actually inspired by a very early Spider-Man story, “A Guy Named Joe.”
