Speaking of people who are little bitches, let's start with Aang

Zutara headcanons about Aang:

Aang did not handle Zuko and Katara getting together well...at all.

Aang was really possessive and kinda blew up into a shouting match at Zuko and Katara.

Katara tried to explain to him that she loves Zuko and never meant to hurt Aang, but he didn't want to hear it.

He ran away because that's what he always does.

He stayed bitter about it for years.

Aang is distant and standoffish to the steam babies. I mean, they are living proof that Zuko had raw unprotected sex with Katara and Aang didn't.

Speaking of which...

Steambabies:

Kya is the firstborn and a firebender. She's a total daddy's girl.

Lu Ten is second and waterbender. Total mama's boy.

Izumi is the third and a non-bender. She's the baby of the group.

Zuko does his best to show ALL his children the love and support that his father wouldn't.

It's comes more naturally to Katara while Zuko keeps second guessing himself about being a good father.

Izumi is the youngest by a few years because that's what happens when you go on vacation in Ember Island and you bring Fire Nation spiced wine with you.

Kya is passionate and full of life!

Lu Ten is more a quiet, go with the flow kinda kid.

Izumi is a curious inquisitive child.

Zuko and Katara don't plan on having more children, but the danger is always there (ya know what I mean)

Zuko and Katara are more hands on parents despite their busy schedule. They do have servants and nannies, but that's more of a last resort kinda thing.

The kids love going to visit the SWT because it's so different from the FN.

Who wants to play with Uncle Sokka? Everybody!

Iroh is "grandpa" while Hakoda is "gramps."

The kids know Iroh isn't actually their grandfather, but he acts like it so they still call him that.

Auntie Toph is more of a rough and tumble aunt.

Kya did meet Aang once. He...didn't say anything to her.

The kids are always in awe at their parents bending skills. To the rest of the world, they are two of the most powerful people. But to them they're mom and dad.

Doesn't help that Zuko still can't tell a joke correctly.

Zutara Headcanons round 2: Sweet & Spicy Edition

Zuko serving his queen a nice hot cup of tea every morning and evening like she's a VIP at a private tea shop.

Don't you be saying a bad thing about her man! Katara will water whip the piss outta you.

Mai expected gifts and servants. Katara wants hand holding and long walks under the moon.

Zuko is more than happy to be at the SWT for months at a time.

Katara rolling her eyes every time Zuko tries sucking up to Hakoda. Yes, he already likes you, Zuko. You don't have to keep trying so hard.

No chef in the world holds a candle to Katara's homecooked meals.

Overtime, Katara develops a SWT/FN fusion cuisine that's exclusive to the family. Spicy and salty with a slight sourness, that's sure to fill you up and warm your belly.

Katara never really loses that snark against Zuko. I mean, what's he gonna do?

People see the Fire Lord as a dragon. Katara sees Zuko as a spicy turtle duck. It's cute how he gets all angy.

Zuko the theater critic. The Ember Island Players are still awful, but he doesn't have the heart to do anything about them.

Zuko loves how he can just...talk to Katara. About anything. Opening up to people was always hard when the people in your life are Ozai, Azula, Zhao, etc. Now he can just...be a person, not a prince or a conqueror.

Katara loves how she can rely on Zuko, for anything. Need someone to help with chores? He's got it. Need a second in a fight? He's got your back. Need a shoulder to lean on? He's there. Unlike some people who run away from their problems.

Sometimes they don't need to say or do anything. They just look at each other and it's like...wow.

They are both GORGEOUS! Just the most attractive people you can meet.

Katara loves grabbing Zuko's toned ass. Those are her man's steamy hot buns.

I think this supposed to be a flex on Sokka, but it just reminds me of how Katara could only have Aang as a legitimate love interest but Sokka could have options. And that's not even counting the girls from the comics.

Zutara headcanons because I received another death threat

The more kataang sends me hate messages and death threats, the more I'm going to go back into the well.

Zuko and Katara felt the romantic tension post TSR. They just didn't do anything about it because ending the war was too important.

When Zuko became Fire Lord, he disbanded the Southern Raiders. Immediately.

Yon Rha died shortly after the war ended. The overwhelming stress and paranoia caused him to have a heart attack.

After the war, Katara wanted nothing more than to return to the SWT. Zuko ordered her to be escorted there in the biggest nicest ship the Fire Nation fleet had.

Zuko and Katara sent letters to each other frequently.

When Katara turned down Aang, he just did what he always did and ran away. At least the war is over now.

Zuko and Mai broke up. Mai left and Zuko...just kept being Fire Lord. He didn't miss her as much as he thought he would.

Zuko is constantly trying to improve his tea making skill. He's no Iroh, but he's getting there.

Sometimes when Zuko is bored or when he needs to think, he'll just sweep up or clean around his room or office. The servants freak the fuck out every time he does.

When Zuko and Katara first start dating for real, Katara wanted them to keep it a secret. It was kinda fun and exciting and even felt a little bit naughty.

Most people figure it out though. Zuko couldn't hide it.

Sokka was the one who found out...and he really wish he didn't.

Aang found out...and he ran away again. Because that's his answer to everything.

As the Fire Lord, Zuko is one of the most powerful people in the world. But he still calls Hakoda "sir" because that's the dad of the girl he likes.

Katara cooks. Zuko cleans.

Katara loves teasing Zuko. And he lets her because he knows better.

Here are my thoughts:

It sucks ass.

Okay, okay, let me go into more detail.

PROS:

The animation is solid.

Dave Bautista as the villain is not bad. I'm always going to support big Dave.

The adult designs aren't terrible.

CONS:

Everything else.

The Zutara Nation reddit has been a new source of inspiration.

One user was commenting how they DON'T like Katara's design in the new movie and I see their point.

As I've said MULTIPLE times, Katara is a fighter. She fought Pakku to prove that she was a fighter that deserved to learn waterbending then she went on to defeat a comet powered Azula.

Katara is one of, if not the, strongest benders in the world.

And Bryke ALWAYS regulates her to the healer.

There is a huge difference between how the original writing team saw Katara and how Bryke sees Katara.

I've been saying recently to people NOT to expect anything good from Avatar Studios. Not the movie, not the new series coming out, nothing.

The actual people who made the original Avatar good have moved on to their own projects and Bryke are not going to bring them back. They see no reason to. People have been telling Bryke for the past 20 years that they made the best animated series ever.

First off, no.

Second, because of that, they think they can do no wrong.

Everything we get from now on is Bryke's view of the characters and a bunch of yes men.

Aang will be the perfect boy. Katara will be his girlfriend and babymaker. Zuko will be the edgy emo bad boy. Toph will have a single catchphrase. Sokka will be the silly backbender.

Zuko and Katara will NEVER interact in any meaningful way ever again.

I see Katara as the greatest waterbender in the world. Katara is a passionate person who loves her people and culture. She IS a fighter.

Bryke sees her as Aang's girlfriend and nothing else.

Katara originally going to be pregnant in the movie is INSANE. Bryke describe Aang as "on the cusp of adulthood" at 25 and he was about to be a parent! Bryke!!!! You're makig your ship worse!

When I tell you that every new release from Bryke makes me hate Aang and Kataang more. I didn't think it was mentally or physically possible. Aang is terrible, and Bryke refuses to fix him. I mean, it's already too late, but they could at least try to make this whole situation salvagable.
