I once said no one would realize if Courtney and Yolanda had gotten together and I now realize how wrong I was. No one would realize when Beth and rick got together here’s why:

When Yolanda was with Henry she was shown to very touchy feely. She’s probably touch starved, so after a lot of yearning when Courtney and Yolanda get together, Yolanda probably hugs Courtney a lot. Like before when they were yearning it was more subtle, but not anymore! Tackle hugs all the time. They are like that overly gooey almost insufferable couple.

As for Beth and rick? I feel like Rick is a very private person and that be the same for his romantic relationships. In private, especially in the beginning, he’d be all lovely dovey kisses and romantic sayings and stuff, but publicly they would act the same. Like Rick has always been soft for Beth and when they get in a relationship I feel like Beth would respects Rick’s wish for privacy. It would be standing closer to each other, keeping an eye out for each other, possible hand holding? But like they did that when they pinned for each other so no one realizes it at first. I think Rick would be like this mainly because of his uncle. He probably learned to keep all good things close to his heart and away from his uncle. What’s his good thing? Beth chapel! He would do anything to keep Beth away from him and that includes keeping their relationship secret for now.

They had a plan for telling people. Beth got worried for Rick’s safety and wanted him to tell someone. He agreed, after a lot of I’ll-be-fine, to tell pat and Barbara about Matt. They knew they also had to make their relationship public, but they didn’t want to. They liked the privacy which they had until Mike caught them. Rick was kissing down Beth’s neck in the kitchen when mike entered for a snack. He just told them to stop kissing in front of the pop tarts. Soon everyone found out. Mike mentioned it in passing to Courtney who well she can’t keep the best secret. (The only one worse than her is Beth, but the JSA thinks they need to change that assessment) nothing changes after everyone finds out. Rick gets out of the abusive home and into the Dugan-Whitmore’s, and now they hug and kiss a little more. I can’t imagine rick being very idk open with his relationship even after their public. He seems like a private kind of guy.
