     “ HUH? OH— ” ADORA squints up at her forehead, one hand gingerly coming to pat her hair. she plucks a red sprinkle from a wisp of blonde hair, then a pink one— collecting them in her cupped palm. “ thanks, ” she breathes her appreciation in a sigh, rolling her eyes. “ you would not believe how bad i am at baking. then again— ”  she brushes the sprinkles from her palms like dust, laughing humorlessly. “ maybe you would. ”

he tries to work, or go visit his parents, but sometimes he spends them alone depending on his money situation. he will spend christmas eve or the day after christmas with friends.

the only card he gets is from his parents, and he keeps all of them every year. nick appreciates presents but they aren’t necessary.
