Besides some pre-show grub, this doesn't even really offer anything. Hell, Paul McCartney's VIP "experience" at least offers soundcheck access and priority seating practically under his nose, so although overpriced, there's a little bit of value in it.
When QOTSA hit Newcastle a few years ago, those of us with club tickets got let in a bit early to grab a drink and do a final dunny run but we didn't pay extra for the privilege, we just strolled in.
