Wilde’s Fire (a Darkness Fall novel) by Krystal Wade 💮💮💮💮
Katriona Wilde has never wondered what it would feel like to have everything she's ever known and loved ripped away, but she is about to find out. When she inadvertently leads her sister and best friend through a portal into a world she's dreamed of for six years, she finds herself faced with more than just the frightening creatures in front of her. Kate's forced to accept a new truth: her entire life has been a lie, and those closest to her have betrayed her. What's worse, she has no control over her new future, and it's full of magic and horrors from which nightmares are made. Will Kate discover and learn to control who she really is in time to save the ones she loves, or will all be lost?_______________________________________________________________
I was completely surprised by this book! I saw it on my recommended for YA page on my Kindle Unlimited and thought I’d give it a shot. I have never read a book with time travel in it, but I really enjoyed this one! Kat has these dreams for most of her life about a man named Arland and a world she has never seen or heard of before. As far as she’s concerned, it is just her imagination. Until, she follows a strange light that leads her through a portal to that world. She finds out just what is happening in this new world that has always been hers and discovers just how important it is for her to remember who she truly is. This novel has YA written all over it! It has just the right amount of paranormal/supernatural, fantasy, romance, and action! Filled with unlikely friendships and heartbreaking truths; the more you read, the better it gets *PLOT TWIST*. Plus, can we just talk about Arland for a second? *swoon* I can’t wait to read Wilde’s Army!
I am giving Wilde’s Fire 4/5 daisies because I am not a HUGE fan of Wade’s writing style and felt that she spent too much time detailing the little things and left gaps in the plot while doing so. All in all, it is an awesome story line and I can’t wait to get my paws on the second book!
