something occurred to me as malachite was being dragged into the ocean by lapis's consciousness: it looked like their appearance was starting to buckle / warp, like opal does before amethyst and pearl come apart. it gives me the impression that we have seen the last of lapis OR jasper... jasper was clearly fighting to separate as malachite was dragged into the ocean.

oh yea, definitely. Jasper was trying to split the fusion and Lapis was preventing her from leaving. I believe that was meant to show us that Lapis was holding onto her, which is why she couldn’t unfuse. I definitely think we’ll see both of them again in the future though! They didn’t die, they’re just under the ocean for the time being

i know. Aerith in A/C and MWTP is actually guiding him to a path in order to move forward. How they managed to warp that into an unpleasant view as what I mentioned previously is a wonder

I left the panel to attend the signing early, but they were only taking fan questions by that point (advice on career stuff, etc.) they shared three future episode titles, one aivi & surasshu track from story for steven, a trailer for the upcoming game, and the preview for "on the run!"
