A wildfire that ignited in the Wharton State Forest in South Jersey has rapidly spread, consuming approximately 600 acres of land. As of Monday morning, authorities have managed to achieve a 10% containment of the blaze, which has been dubbed the "Dragway Wildfire" due to its origin near the Atco Dragway in Waterford Township.The fire was first reported on Sunday afternoon, with its source pinpointed to the vicinity of Jackson Road. Despite its rapid expansion, officials from the New Jersey Forest Fire Service have assured residents that the situation is under control and poses no immediate threat to local communities.Assistant State Fire Warden Bill Donnelly stated that there have been no injuries reported and no evacuations have been necessary.
