The nonsensical jokester. It was an easy role to fill. Odd puns and pranks weren't that hard to come up with. Elise just needed to make a name for itself, really double down on it's title. So here they were, setting up a bucket filled with ice water and various playing cards over the gardener's dormitory room. The trick was classic, but had the added flare of peculiarity from the playing cards. The only challenging part was actually reaching the top of the door. Elise wasn't very tall, so he was standing on his tip-toes, barely balanced enough to not fall over.
"Ugh, COME ON!"
Elise grumbled to themself quietly as they continued their attempt to trip-wire Cobyn's door.
(//WHY'D I MAKE IT SO DRAMATIC HELP-?)
[Cobyn was already walking back to his dorm, but seeing it cracked open enough for this to be happening as well as Elise behind it, clearly in distress, he walked a bit faster.]
"Mr Jokester? Is something wrong-"
[He pushed the door open a little more on instinct, causing the bucket to fall.]
Vega had been sitting in the alcove alone for about an hour. It was a nice spot when no one else was there, especially because people could enter her room whenever they wanted and it was quite messy. Besides, no one really drinks before dinner unless it’s Bones. Who was currently busy with other things.
Even though Vega made sure to keep the curtains tightly shut, the reddish light from the main part of the bar still seeped in through the small part that couldn’t be covered. Which annoyed her. Because even though people usually wouldn’t come in, it would still be obvious to tell that she had been crying and panicking over something worthless.
The worst part was, the light was covered by a shadow—showing that someone had been standing right infront of the crack in the curtain. Vega covered her mouth to try to stifle her gasping breaths and occasional whines. She didn’t want Cobyn to catch her crying in a situation like this. Especially because he had just dealt with the glass and it wasn’t his job to help her.

[Cobyn wasn't much of a drinker himself, but with the cut on his hand from earlier, he thought getting a small shot of alcohol to make sure it's not infected might be for the best. He wasn't going to bother Cecilia again for medical supplies, so he thought this would work well enough.]
[...But the curtains are never fully shut without reason. From the almost silence of the room, he was curious, and from what sound there was, he was worried. He wasn't sure what he'd see, but he was ready for anything. He lightly tugged the curtain aside, peeking in.]
"...Vega..?"

poppy waits around backstage, back pressed to the carpet and legs straight against the wall. it's a simultaneously very comfortable and uncomfortable position to be in. great way to see the world from a different perspective, though. really leaves her pondering about life. when cobyn finishes with his interview and leaves the limelight, she waves him over the moment she spots him.
"so. what do you plan on doing now?"
[He stares at her for a moment, looking at the odd position she's in before smiling and sitting next to her, back to the wall and knees to his chest.]
"Well I was planning on finding you- thought it would take a bit longer. With a color scheme like yours you nearly blend in!"
[He laughed, clearly still anxious from the interview, but trying to settle his nerves.]
"...Height can't exactly be helping either."
|| first part is here the part before this is here || I’m not using anon so I can link it😢😢
Vega nodded in response. The air suddenly felt heavier around the two at the heavy change in topic. But Vega didn’t know how to make it all seem light hearted again. He wasn’t really the type of person to talk to people with ease.
“I’ve been kinda tired. The blankets are pretty thin. Uh—how about you?”
-@paran0idcosmol0gist
[Cobyn finally lowers his hand, nodding along as they try to change the subject.]
"Oh don't remind me,"
[He does an odd mix of a sigh and a laugh, but his tone still feels a little forced. He's not entirely relaxed like he was before.]
"I used to sleep with three blankets minimum when I was little! I liked the layers."
Vega stared down at Cobyn’s calloused hands, noticing how he was right about the glass not really having much effect on him. He cleaned it up with ease and the cuts didn’t seem to bother him too much. So Vega just nodded and stood up again, not really knowing what to say to Cobyn after just exposing something that could be so terrible
[Cobyn noticed how Vega seemed a little... Cagey about the whole situation? Anxious too, and he didn't quite understand why.]
"...You alright? It doesn't seem to be that big of a problem, things happen!"

(please note that onpu will not harm any of the characters in anyway related to her role or obsessive behaviour. this is actually onpu being gentle and trying to be nice to the people of the game. this is in no way shipping onpu with poppy as onpu is an adult in this au. she does, however, love her friends. these are other ocs of mine. anyways-)
Onpu loved her friends. She loved them dearly. Why wouldn't she? They were the only ones who didn't mind her staring. The ones who didn't find her teeth scary and didn't find her interests disgusting. The most soothing voices in her moments of distress and injury. The ones who let her bite them, gently that is. The ones who gave her food when she needed it most. The ones she wanted to consume, to keep in her forever. The ones she wanted all to herself. The ones who loved her. The ones she loved. The ones she loved. The ones she loved. The ones she
…
She loved her friends. She loved her friends dearly.
She also missed her friends. Alot.
Nowadays, they took up more space in her head than usual. Not that she minded too much. They were nice to think about, but it made her feel lonely. And what did Onpu do when she was lonely?
Think about the people they'd like if they were there with her :D
⋆˚꩜。
Recently the Lady Cannibal had been quiet lately. Well, even more quiet than she was in general. As if something was occupying her mind. Or someone. Someone very dear to her.
She'd taken to following Cobyn around. Not in a stalker way as she would with others but like a cat just following someone it found interesting.
Cobyn would just be doing his own thing and when he turned around, the woman was right there. It seemed she didn’t understand how creepy she was being. She did leave when Cobyn asked her to though.
Right now, Onpu remained behind him, not close enough to feel like she was breathing down her neck but definitely close enough to know she was drilling holes into the back of his head.
"Hmn…you seem like someone Yu Ge would be interested in"
She mumbled, mostly to herself as she stared blankly at the man. While Yu Ge was definitely not the nicest and would absolutely give backhanded compliments to him, Cobyn's love for plants was definitely similar to Snakey's.
[Cobyn didn't commonly ask her to leave. Mainly if he had to have a conversation with someone else, he'd ask rather politely, but he didn't mind too much. He found it confusing, though. He wasn't exactly interesting, and if she was following him around for any info that could be useful to her game-wise, she wouldn't find much. He'd jump here and there when noticing her, but less so as of late. He was calm.]
"Yu Ge? That's a nice name... Any-... Any reason?"
There is wild waving from below the second flood of backstage. A blur of white and navy blue, and the frantic flapping sound of fabric hitting itself. Sailor’s eyes are locked right on Cobyn.
“HEY!!!! Hey you!!! Mister!!! Can I have some help? Me crew’s left their captain on his lonesome, and I need an inside guy who’s strong!”
-@dappygoon
[He almost cartoonishly looked around, then pointed at himself, confused. Then he heard the word strong, and that seemed to confirm things for him. He sighed, calm smile on his face, and walked over.]
"What can I do for you, Mr Sailor?"
