@wildinfinitum : "Damn, Doc. Now THAT was quite the show!" A low whistle follows the voice that can be heard from behind Eli, golden claws tapping on the ground in amusement from where the Mole has poked out of his hole. A rare wrong turn and, well, this WAS an interesting development. Dark eyes flash to the blood splattered all around, and back up to the Owl. "Tell me, what did the poor sucker do to deserve that type of punishment? See something they shouldn't, perhaps? I must say, I think I know the feeling."
Just make it look like wild animal’s attack. That was Eli’s main thought as he was taking care of yet another trespasser. Talons dug into throat and stomach next, making it as messy as possible. Next, using few more or less medical tools to make it even messier. Only when there was barely anything left, Owl finally stepped away, calming his nerves down and allowing at least part of blood to drop down. It’s been going on for a while and no one noticed, so it had to be fine, right? All that was left was to just get back and clean up himself.
Yet moments before turning into bird and flying away comment behind him, along the whistle, made him tense up as with heavy step he turned towards Mole. Luckly enough mask covered up most of his expression, not allowing to show pure fear on his face, and soon his mouth turned into annoyed frown.
The bigger issue was what to do. He knew that currently he was on lost position no matter what he’d do, making attempt to escape just because of his own first reaction useless, since probably everyone around knew where Eli lives and he could just barge in with questions. Neither is Eli fast enough to try to get rid of other and considering that he was still mostly in, even if he tried, other had easy way out. Lying wasn’t an option either, from what was said he witnessed whole thing.
Sigh of defeat escaped him. There was no good option for him, so he’s forced to just play along, or at least talk to him. Eli tried to get more blood of his.glovess and sleeves, while trying to come up with an answer to question that wouldn’t drag him further.
“ I don’t think it’s any of your business. “ Despite trying to sound threathening and unmoved, his voice was slightly shaking, alongside his frown. It probably was easy for other to tell that he was scared. Who wouldn’t? Even if he did it to protect the forest, it was still murder and if word got out- he didn’t want to think about it. Eli would have to disappear himself, because there’s no way anyone would let a murderer to live here. At least not in Eli’s case, who everyone trusted as a doctor.
There was moment of silence, unsure what to say next. He wanted to get away, urgently. Words running again and again through his head, trying to find a point to get away. Worried smile appeared on his face, as he attempted first thought that came to his head
“ But if you know the feeling, how about we’ll just go our ways and pretend nothing happened? “ Just let me go and don’t tell anyone.
