ACNL Not-So-Secret Santa

Last year, I came up with a new idea for all of those who wanted to participate in the Secret Santa event but didn’t want to turn on anonymous messaging.

This event has all the same rules as the original, but there will be no need for anonymous messaging. You’ll know who your partner is and they’ll know you! It’s a fun way to get to know a person throughout the month and spread the same holiday cheer without having to worry about potentially troublesome anon messages from people other than your Secret Santa.

The Secret Gift Exchange

I have recently thought of a new and fun holiday idea for the Animal Crossing Community! Including my own, I have seen a few Secret Santa events going on and I thought that it would be fun for a change of events. Along with my second Secret Santa, I would like to introduce to you: The Secret Gift Exchange! Here's how everything will work:

Everyone participating will have to donate one wrapped gift to the event. The gifts will then go to the town of a host who will place the gifts in an empty section of their town. No one, including me, will know what's in the wrapped presents or who it came from! That's the fun of it~ But just like every event, there are rules:

Rule #1: Donating a gift does not mean you have to participate in receiving one. If you just want to be kind and donate a wrapped gift, GREAT! Just be sure to specify that you do not want to participate in receiving a gift. BUT, if you want to receive a gift then you must donate one to ensure that there will be enough for everyone.

Rule #2. The gift must be something nice and preferably not too common . No one wants a boot or moldy tee for the holidays! Please don't give away something you wouldn't enjoy yourself!

Rule #3. Don't expect extravagant gifts. Not everyone has the same budget in-game and it's not fair if you only expect the "rare" and most expensive. Be happy with what you have received. It's the thought that counts, not the price.

Rule #4. Don't reveal the gift you donated. The fun is in not knowing and enjoying the moment!

Rules #5. Respect the host's town! NO EXCEPTIONS. They have kindly offered to hold the event in their own place and if it wasn't for them this event wouldn't run as smooth! No stealing, no running, etc. This should be a quick in and out, no more than 2-5 minutes. You arrive, pick a present, and leave!

Rule #6. Extra Rule!! There needs to be a minimum of 3 hosts, excluding my own town. Most towns, depending on the amount of participants, will have 9-10 visitors coming and going for the exchange pick up. In order for this to work smoothly, I will need help from a few volunteers! I can only start the event once I have the required amount of host towns.
