I haven’t posted in over a year (not that I posted much before that) & this photo seemed like the one to use to break the silence. This isn’t Wild. I lost Wild very suddenly on August 23rd, 2021 (necropsy was inconclusive, it’s suspected that he had a stroke or a heart attack). It was devastating, to say the least. I wasn’t sure if I wanted another wolfdog after him. He was just so special.
But this is Hallu. Hallu is Wild’s half-brother (same mom) & he was born on April 20th, 2022. He’s been so incredibly different than Wild & has been a very welcome distraction from the grief. Wild was ~spicy~ & Hallu is sweet as honey. I haven’t shared Hallu because I hadn’t shared why he was here instead of Wild. So now I guess I’ll resume my very occasional posting about my menagerie.
