#Repost @carladawnbehrlenyc # TBT 2 This was the permanent #RedSonja created for #FrankThorne Accessories were recycled from the first costume and I worked with this early #computernerd slash #metalworker who lived with his mom. She was a squirrel #freek - She'd had a #tree fallen into the house from outside so hundreds of squirrels could come and go. Outside that smelly, cold & #wildroom everything was carpeted and upholstered in white - with yellowing plastic slipcovers on everything! The lampshades, the throw pillows, the floor - nothing was not encased! #bizarre but what the hey... Anyhow, this costume was made with discarded stainless steel computer die cuts which I burred for texture and drilled - then they were hooked together and the jump rings wrapped with brass wire on the bottom (could draw blood and did - great groper repellant!) and stitched to a base for the #bra - the shoulder piece was made out of an old #rambler #truck #fender - burred and painted gold inside - & set on top an articulated l#eatherharness. Leg bands were tooled leather- and finished off with a real repro broadsword and a hand-made dagger in a tooled holster.
