his hair cut didn't turn out -- great ... she wouldn't lie to herself about that. but it was all one length now! and she caught herself running her fingers through his dark blue hair more and more. especially when she started to get lost in thought.

There was still a certain tenderness there--they hadn’t shaved his head without reason, of course. The scars from the countless stitches he got were now just barely hidden by his hairline, but Tensei couldn’t help the way he flinched when anything or anyone touched the still-sensitive skin there.

But it was getting better. Day by day. He had to remind himself of that.

And on days where he couldn’t remember...well, Tomoko was there. She would tell him he looked “very handsome” on days where he hadn’t even bothered to shower. Nimble fingers playing with his hair in a soothing manner, while perfectly avoiding the spots that shot sharp pains through his skull.

She held his hand a little tighter when he couldn’t bring his fingers to grip her’s, and would re-sign entire conversations to him when he had forgotten what they’d just talked about.

When he got migraines, she would let him lay his head in her lap and massage his temples. She’d bring him tea and kiss him and silently remind him that he wasn’t alone in this. He never would be.

And now, months later, with his hair growing back almost evenly, he found his head leaning back into her touch as almost second nature.

His head still hurt, sometimes, but at least his heart was in the right hands.

             “ you know, i could put in a good word for you at a local precinct if you’re interested. ” he had a fair amount of connections in the force, and as rare as it was for heroes to become a cop, he was sure she wouldn’t have to go through as much training before getting a badge. just because she lost her quirk didn’t mean she couldn’t still be of help to people.

Mina hadn’t been a part of Idaten long, she barely spent time in the hide out and hadn’t gotten to really meet anyone else there. She’d originally planned to turn down the invitation for a place to stay but after her warehouse was raided by police she was left with two options. She could either live back on the streets again or take up residence at the run down building that Idaten offered for a place to call home. There was no way in hell she’d move back to the streets so that left her with only one option...

She pushed the back door to the building open and slowly made her way in. The hair on the back of her neck stood on end as she glanced around the building suspiciously. Paranoia was already setting in and she was starting to debate leaving when she saw someone in the front lobby of the building. She froze completely still a moment unsure of if she should speak up or not. Finally she took a deep breath in, let it out again and spoke.

“Yo? I got the address to this place from a guy and I uhh... Do you live here?”
