a small note: there are a couple of Citation Needed marks in the Wikipedia page for Otherkin, so i thought it would be a good idea to call someone to update on that, so i'm sending this ask to let you know, idk

Thanks for the heads up. I've never edited that article myself, I've only been an author that the editors used to cite for it. I gather that the Wikipedia editors had agreed years ago that my community history book the Otherkin Timeline was an acceptable source to cite, even though it's only a free ebook hosted on my personal site and not formally published. The reason was that there have never been many sources about otherkin that meet Wikipedia's acceptable source guidelines. The acceptable sources almost always cite my book themselves, so it may as well be used. Recently the Wikipedians reversed their decision and won't make that exception for my book anymore. That reduced the sources that editors can cite for that article. Perhaps this is all the more reason for my partners and I to go get our books published.

is there anything that talks about the origin of the name "delta rune"?

Unfortunately, there is not. In fact, there is only one mention of the name “Delta Rune” in the entire game.

GERSON:That’s the Delta Rune, the emblem of our kingdom. The Kingdom……of Monsters.Wahaha! Great name, huh? It’s as I always say…Ol’ King Fluffybuns can’t name for beans!

To clarify, Gerson is referring to the name “Kingdom of Monsters” when he says Asgore is bad at naming.

GERSON:That emblem actually predates written history. The original meaning has been lost to time…All we know is that the triangles symbolize us monsters below, and the winged circle above symbolizes…Somethin’ else.

With the original meaning lost to time, it’s unlikely that any monster knows why the emblem is called the Delta Rune. However, it is an anagram of Undertale.
