Hello! You may not remember me, but, I’m the Anon from what feels like forever ago, the one who let other people keep me from the sequels? But anyway, I’ve only rewatched TFA so far but I was wondering, since you said to come to you afterwards, if I could share my thoughts so far? Sorry if this is annoying or something but I really do owe a lot of my willingness for this to you so i thought it seemed fair XD

Hi!  I do remember you!  And you have some really great timing, because I just watched Nasser’s The Force Awakens video this morning and it reminded me of so many things that I actually genuinely liked and loved about TFA.  I don’t know that it’ll ever be my favorite, I’m a prequels fan at heart, but seeing some positivity for it was really nice (and I’m very curious to see what TLJ is like with this process) and it helped me to be able to step back and away from all the discourse around it.So, I’m ready to discuss TFA on its own merits and what it brought to the table, not what other people have to say about it!  (I realize I’m linking someone else’s reactions, but for me it was a way to help disassociate myself from the discourse, because he’s not involved in SW fandom at all except for his own watching, and that got me to go, oh, hey, I can get back to that place, too.)
