Earth. Twenty-first century.
Such a long way from Palahaxis II in the twenty-seventh century.
As sudden as her freedom had been granted, Josie would have never imagined that she would not only learn time travel existed, but experience it first hand when a man known as the Doctor rescued her from the auction where she had been being sold along with the other pieces of art from Lady Josephine’s private gallery after her death...
Of course, the trouble that she finds herself in now is that she’s... not actually human, contrary to how she might look. Sure, she is made of flesh and blood like any biologically organic being, but that isn’t all she’s made of, with traces of the paint and canvas that she was born... created from, and the animae particles that brought her to life in the first place, allowing her to crawl free from the canvas on which she had been painted.
Now, though... Now she’s free from that horrible gallery, and the even more horrible woman who kept her there. Not that she’s entirely sure what to do with herself. The Doctor’s friend had given her what Clara called a ‘crash course’ in being human before they had had to leave, reassuring her that the Doctor would find her soon, only... a different, younger version of him. It was all terribly confusing, if she was being perfectly honest.
But first, Clara had given her a bit of money to spend on herself, and after exploring a bit, watching people, she had seen someone with the most unusually coloured hair, braving enough to ask them and learn about hair dye. So she was hoping to find some in order to make herself look... different, so she didn’t look like a perfect copy of the woman she was a literal portrait of.
What she didn’t expect was to find a man staring at her. She knows there was no way she knew him - she doesn’t know anyone - and it’s not as though she should draw much attention, and certainly not the scrutiny she finds herself under.
“Can... can I help you?” she asks warily, making it clear that she noticed him in return.
