William Hemlock is the magic teacher at PHA. He is not a very good teacher and quite often stumbles through his lessons. He is also quite rude towards his students, but also knows when to play the kind and caring teacher when those in higher authority are near.

He is rumored to have been divorced three times and owns his past wives a tremendous amount of money. He took the position at PHA because it pays well. He also has a ratty old cat named Griffin who will often hiss and swipe at students and faculty alike.
