“Oh dear. You look rather upset.” William’s chuckle came from the doorway, where he was leaning as he watched them huff and puff in frustration.
With a glance of annoyance, they rolled their eyes and went back to fidgeting with the collar of their shirt. “No thanks to you, of course. The marks you left are conspicuous, to say the least.”
“We were in a rush,” he replied in a matter-of-fact tone. “And you know I tend to get… enthusiastic when you drag me into abandoned rooms in the middle of balls.”
“That was yesterday evening. It’s been a whole twenty four hours,” they groaned, releasing the collar of their top as they realized that there was no use in trying to hide it with just their clothes. “I thought it would be gone by now.”
“I’m sorry, my dear.” William walked up to them, looking anything but sorry as he stared into the mirror. “On the bright side, I suppose no one’s going to have any doubts anymore as to whether or not our marriage is a happy one?”
“Don’t remind me,” they grumbled, feeling their indignation rise once again at his words. Their fumbling in their drawers grew messier as their agitation increased. “The nerve of him! Lord Byron’s certainly got no limits to his rudeness. And the Viscount! He thinks that his own shoddy marriage is enough of a reason to project on everyone else’s.”
Their husband hummed. “I think I heard someone last night, mentioning that his son’s legitimacy was in question.” A mischievous glint twinkled in his eye through the mirror, as he watched them finally pull out their makeup kit and set out to try and cover the blooming red and purple marks on their neck and collarbone. “If someone somehow manages to slip that he bears an uncanny resemblance to his wife’s stableboy up in her estate, then that would be entirely coincidental, would it not?”
Pausing in their ministrations with their powder puff mid-air, they turned to look at him with a look that was a mix of horror and awe. “You truly are something else, Liam. I’d hate to get on your bad side.”
With a smile they could never resist, he rested his hand on their waist, leaning in to press a soft kiss to their forehead, before whispering, “After last night, you should know precisely which side is my favorite.”
His seductive tone didn’t slip past them unnoticed, and they could feel their throat getting drier at the implications of his words, and the memories they brought back. With shaky hands, they tried to finish applying the makeup as best as they could, in a vain attempt to hide their lovebites.
Of course, ever-perceptive William would notice their trembling, if the laugh that left him was any indication. “Is there anything I can do now? Though it does wound me so to see you trying to disguise them, I understand why the nobility seeing them would upset you.”
A thoughtful look crossed their face, before they turned in his arms to face him properly. “I might have an idea to scandalize them even more.”
He arched his eyebrow at that. “Oh?”
Their eyes now held the sort of glimmer that always appeared whenever they made love between the sheets until the break of dawn and until they grew delirious with pleasure, or whenever they escaped for a passionate, whirlwind of a tryst with him down the hallways of some nobleman’s mansion. It was a look he’d never get tired of; a look that spoke volumes of how much they’d always want him.
Looking as tempting as ever, they smiled wickedly as they leaned in close enough to smell his cologne. Deft fingers found his own pale neck, teasingly stroking the skin and watching as it pebbled at their touch. “If you give me a hickey, I'll have to give you one too, don’t you think?” Daringly, their teeth nipped at a particular spot underneath his jaw that always had him swallowing thickly. “Or ten.”
“Well,” William managed to say after a few beats of stunned silence, somehow managing to sound somewhat well-composed, though some other body parts proved otherwise. “I can quickly think of ten places for them. Do be quick though, darling. We wouldn’t want them to think we’re improper, would we?”
“Oh no, certainly not,” they chuckled, moving back to fall against the bed behind them and pulling him to them by the belt loops. “The hosts themselves can’t be too late, I suppose.” Toying with the button of his pants, they could hear his breath hitching. “You’ll have to forgive me for being a bit rough with you then, if we want to greet the guests on time.”
“Have me as you wish,” he mumbled, before tumbling back onto the bed with his ever-so-tempting spouse in a flurry of eager limbs and unabashed desire.
Request: "Can I ask for William x reader (from mtp) where reader is an aristocratic, but she's nice. They met each other like when they met Albert (I mean something like she was supposed to be with other William but she didn't want to and now she's with this William and they live each other ). After Liam met sherlock he has a lot of things to do so she's lonely and she meets Watson. And now they are friends (they drink tea together, maybe also with miss Hudson? I mean they are just friends, not cheating or anything) . Also Louis don't like her because you know, kinda worried she'll take William away from him or smth. I just want some random headcanons. Maybe sherlock and Liam finding out about Watson and reader's meetings? Or just how her relationships with others looks like? Or how she spend time with William?" - @nemezisi
A/N: So sorry this took so long 😅 There's been a lot going on, but I finally got it done! I hope it meets your expectations 💕
now, you can imagine the shock when william discovers that he's technically engaged
evenmoreso when he's told that this woman knew the original william
it's been two seconds and already he's in quite a pickle
luckily for him, albert is very observant and noticed your... distaste for his blood brother
he also suspected you to not be in complete agreement with upper society's belief of their superiority to the lower class
so he decided it was a calculated risk and, with william and louis's permission, invited you to tea one afternoon
imagine your surprise when you walked through the door and saw a kind-eyed boy in place of the little scowling gremlin you were so used to
albert explains what has happened, as well as that william will not be going into public for some time, in hope that aging will minimized anyone's questions about why he looks so different
william could see the hesitation in your expression but also the curiosity in your eyes
it intrigued him
you were allowed to visit as often as you pleased, as long as you came alone
he welcomed it as it would help him gauge how useful you would be and where, if not also to figure out what made you tick
louis didn't particularly enjoy it
he didn't trust you and the risk of you outing his brother made him uneasy
but he did trust his brother and if william was willing to put up with you then he would have to as well
overtime william grew fond of you
he was always aware of it but he wasn't sure how to feel
he's never felt such a strong bond for anyone besides his brother
it was almost unnerving
but yet also pleasant
he enjoyed having tea with you and your chats together
he enjoyed hearing you laugh and the way you smiled into your cup when you felt shy
you made him feel in a way no one else could
in a way nothing else could
it was... exhilarating
of course he wasn't the only one to enjoy your company
everyone around william wanted to get to know the woman who managed to catch his attention
watson was curious to meet the person who was essentially william's version of him
so when he spotted you in a café, he couldn't resist the urge to ask if he could join you
it was a pleasant conversation
he made sure not to come off as if he was interrogating you
just getting to know each other, talking about interests and recent funny moments, trading stories about your respective companions
of course there's plenty of stories to tell
like the time you and william were taking a stroll and there was a sudden downpour
(you found out that day he doesn't particularly enjoy getting wet)
and the squirrel who stole a pastry right off the tray while you two were having tea
and the bird who decide william's head was a perfect place to perch for a moment
but the funniest one had to be when he leaned in to kiss you for the first time and louis decided that was the perfect time to announce that dinner was ready
it was the only time you've seen william genuinely annoyed
not that he let louis see that expression, of course
he made sure you two could never be interrupted again after that

Every time she sat in William’s lap, his arms encasing her and his mouth devouring hers in a passionate kiss, she always found herself lost in his embrace. Her limbs grow numb and useless, and she gets weak in the knees, succumbing to the sheer desire that threatens to consume her every time. When his tongue twines with hers and his lips gently suckle and nip at hers, she could swear he pulls the most debauched sounds from the back of her throat.
And so here she was, moaning and writhing in his arms as his large hands caressed her hip, reaching up and getting tantalizingly close to the underside of her breast. His eyepatch discarded somewhere, his tie askew, and his vest half-opened, he looked perfectly disheveled as well. The other hand that wasn’t mapping out her curves was deftly cupping her face, thumb dusting her cheekbones almost reverently. And she knew, from the not-so-innocent smile against her mouth, that he loved how receptive she was.
So lost in their maddeningly hot kiss, she failed to hear the loud laughter and aggravated shouting coming down the hallway and towards them. Perhaps William had noticed, but even if he had, he clearly paid them no mind and only teasingly reached down to squeeze her and pull her even closer. She whined into his mouth, wordlessly begging for more; begging for him to just go on, even if he couldn’t exactly ease that ache at this time of month, but she was oh-so-sensitive when she was menstruating and his touch sent tingles down her spine, and—
Only for a chortle to interrupt them. “Still so loud, eh?”
Embarrassment warmed her cheeks as she instantly pulled away, her vision still a little hazy and her pupils blown wide. Taking in the sight of a smug Moran with his arms crossed and leaning against the doorway, she reeled back and—after a few seconds of processing that this was the reason Bond was giggling from his side—instantly leapt off her lover’s lap.
“Oh no, do continue. You sounded like you were enjoying it very much,” the blond winked at her, waving her off cheekily.
Had she really been that loud? It was mortifying to think that she was that aroused by William’s touch, to the extent that she lost all inhibitions. Had the entire mansion been listening in the whole time? That must’ve meant that they’d heard her keening when his teeth dug into her bottom lip, and the breathy way she said his name as he deepened their kisses.
William only had a mild smile on his face, his expression otherwise unreadable. A quick glance at him had her wondering whether she’d embarrassed him as well by putting them in this position, and her stomach roiled at the thought.
“Don’t stop on our accounts,” said Moran, clapping a hand on Bond’s shoulder. “Nothing like some good ol’ fun to get the blood pumping.”
The pit in her stomach only grew deeper. She’d been hoping that her lust hadn’t driven her to seem so desperate, but it seemed that she’d failed. A knot formed in her throat, and she suddenly found it rather difficult to swallow and try to form any sort of excuse for her wanton behavior.
Bond sent another salacious wink their way. “Liam’s not one to make much sounds, but looks like you’re more than making up for it.”
Oh, dear God. Was this testament to her being so lust-driven that she hadn’t noticed William’s lack of reaction? Was he only sating her needs, without actually enjoying himself? After all, she’d been the one whimpering pathetically in his lap. The poor man hadn’t uttered a single sound, save for a chuckle when she’d pawed at the front of his shirt, eager to have it off him right now. Looking back, maybe that small laugh was derisive; he probably thought her too needy to be proper…
“Darling?” came a soft voice of concern from her side, before gentle hands reached out and wiped at her face. Only then did she blink, clearing her vision and realizing that a few tears had slipped down her cheeks unnoticed, and that William’s furrowed brows as he wiped them off were out of worry.
“Oh. Um. Yes, sorry,” she sniffled, shame creeping down her neck. Had she really just started crying only because of a few teasing comments from their friends? Her thoughts were mostly to blame for that, too; she knew from looking at their alarmed faces that they truly had meant no harm.
Before a sharp look from William could get directed towards them, biting words already on his tongue, two hands clapped on Bond and Moran’s backs. Jumping a little in surprise, they blanched at the sight of Albert and Louis with chilling smiles on their faces, and an absolutely terrifying glint to their eyes that nearly had them shivering in place.
“Don’t concern yourself with them, brother,” Albert chuckled, though it was anything but mirthful. “I’m sure they’d like to chat with us instead.”
Louis hummed in agreement, his free hand fidgeting with his pocket, where he knew—and everyone knew—his knife resided. “Rat infestations are quite commonplace these days. Seems like some pest control is in order.”
All playfulness drained from the culprits’ faces, and William took their distraction as a chance to take his beloved’s hand in his. “It looks like my brothers are eager to busy themselves for the next hour or so. What do you say we retire to our bedroom for the night?”
Rubbing her slightly damp eyes to remove all traces of her crying, she nodded and followed after him as he took them upstairs, locking their bedroom door behind them. Within the privacy of their room and seating her down on their bed, William was quick to cup her face and press a kiss to her forehead, even despite her wince of pain as another contraction ripped through her. “Something on your mind?”
“I just,” she took in a shuddering breath, trying her best to keep her emotions at bay, “I’m sorry for embarrassing you.”
He shook his head, falling back against the soft mattress and tugging her down with him. A little startled, she let him softly peck her lips once, then twice. “It’s not embarrassing at all.” The corner of his lips quirked upward in a bit of a devilish smirk. “Who wouldn’t like to hear just how much their lover wants them?”
“But it’s so mortifying to be that loud,” she groaned, pushing her face into his shoulder in a measly attempt to avoid looking him in the eyes. “Everyone probably heard us—me, actually.”
“Honestly, sweetheart, I’m just glad they could hear how good I make you feel,” he chuckled, satisfied with just brushing her hair back for the moment. “Don’t worry about those two idiots. Worry about how you’re feeling right now.” He pulled her back from his embrace, a serious expression on his face. “Is there anything you need? A warm comforter, or a hot bath perhaps?”
Really, how much sweeter could one man be? It was William’s thoughtfulness this time that had her eyes stinging with tears, and she quickly blinked them back to avoid worrying him any further. Everything felt so insignificant when someone as wonderful as he was loved her so wholeheartedly, and so intently.
“Just you, please?” she softly asked, clutching the lapels of his shirt. “It feels awfully uncomfortable and I don’t really think I could get up any time soon.”
“Alright, cuddling in bed it is.” Long arms tugged her into him, already knowing that this was how they always ended up with her falling asleep nestled against his chest—still, he didn’t mind; not one bit. In fact, he was rather fond of the way she always burrowed into the mattress and curled into his warmth.
It wasn’t long before he’d heard her breathing even out, her chest rising and falling rhythmically as she’d fallen into a deep sleep that nothing could pull her out of. A fond smile made its way on his face as he admired her for a few beats, before remembering that he had a few things to take care (much as it hurt him to have to disentangle her limbs from his).
***
“Dear God, I think my life flashed before my eyes. Ten times, no less,” Moran groaned as he slumped against the sitting room couch.
Cracking his strained neck, Bond only eyed him. “Never pegged you for a particularly pious man.”
“Think the brothers just baptized me with that scolding,” he grumbled under his breath, closing his eyes momentarily as he subtly leaned into the younger man.
“Funnily enough, I might have a plan or two to rejuvenate your religious faith.”
Both of them immediately fumbled to straighten their backs at the icy voice coming from behind them. Turning around in their seats, they visibly cringed as they were met with blood-red eyes burrowing holes into both their countenances.
“Now, now, Liam, let’s not be too hasty,” Bond’s falsely chipper voice did nothing to douse the inferno raging behind William’s deceptive smile.
“Oh no, there’s nothing hasty about the decision I’ve made,” he chuckled as he leaned in, hands coming down to rest between the two culprits in front of him. “Next time I hear you two toeing the line between life and death one more time and teasing her to tears like that, I might just push you to topple across that line.”
Moran awkwardly glanced at Bonde before offering, “Towards…?”
“Inevitable death.” William’s eerie smile did not let up as he watched them swallow with difficulty. “Don’t make me warn you twice.”
And just as suddenly as he’d appeared, he vanished into thin air, leaving nothing but a chilling, stifling threat of death in his wake. Though the two men had previously thought themselves in the prime of their youth, it certainly no longer felt like that was a guaranteed thing—not with William and his protectiveness of his lover around, anyways.

I think we all know by now (from canon content, that is) that William has a penchant for falling for minds and spirits
He just finds it most attractive when someone goes head-to-head with him and challenges him; part of him because he loves the adrenaline of the chase, and part of him because he loves people who remain interesting and unique
It’s that fact that has him drawn to her from the very first moment they’d met on the Noahtic
He’d actually met her a while before he’d stumbled upon meeting with her brother by the stairs
In her stunning dress, complementary jewels, and elaborate hairdo, she was the very picture of poised timeless elegance, but though she was rather captivating, what brought him to a stop was the sharpness in her eyes
Calculative and intelligent, they were carefully scanning every single person in the room, and he could swear that he could see from afar the thoughts that came with every glance of hers
And yet when they flitted over to him, William hadn’t the faintest clue as to what she was thinking
Perhaps she’d shuttered her expression on purpose (she probably had, given that someone that seemingly smart would know better than to reveal their hand to someone as cunning as he was), or maybe she simply had her guard up all the time like that (a wise decision, really, seeing as openness spelled for vulnerability)
In all cases, he couldn’t read her thoughts as he approached her and offered her a polite smile
“It seems that nothing here particularly calls for your attention, Miss…?”
“Holmes,” she offered, eyeing him cautiously as he gently took her hand to place a gentlemanly kiss to the back of it, “The lack of ingenuity in the manner men and women proffer themselves to each other is rather dull. Their tedious nonsensical conversations about nothing at all don’t exactly stimulate the mind.”
“Indeed, it seems that senseless words are a one-way ticket to marriage these days,” William chuckled, arms behind his back and following her as she strolled across the magnificent room
She hummed at that, “My brothers don’t seem any closer to marriage themselves, so I believe they’ve rubbed off on me. They have reassured me, time and time again, that they’re in no hurry to marry me off either. I suppose I should count myself lucky for that.”
“But isn’t autonomy the very reason for our existence?” William pushed, curious to find out more about how she viewed her role in this world they’d been born into
“A reason women scarcely get to possess. Even if I shouldn’t, I feel some semblance of gratitude for my brothers having granted me this.”
Nodding in agreement, William had barely noticed that they’d walked themselves over to the stairs of the steamer, and he found himself intrigued by the architecture and magnificence of them
It was only when they paused by them did he hear her groan from his side
“There he goes, being the show-off he is. He prances like a peacock during mating season, I swear.”
Following her line of sight, his crimson eyes settled on a man with a particularly cocky grin on his face, lazy confidence on his every feature as he spoke animatedly
“Who’s that,” a reassessment of his overall appearance and aura had him carefully continuing, “Interesting character?”
“My older brother, Sherlock.” She rolled her eyes, boldly taking his arm in hers as she added, “He’ll make his way over here soon enough, the moment he notices how intelligent you are. He finds that riveting, much like I do.”
William arched his eyebrow, slight mischief dancing in his eyes, “So meeting me today was a fascinating experience?”
The growing smile on his face prompted her to quip back, “Would you rather I write it off as another drab chance meeting with nobility?”
That was a little surprising, he had to admit, and he said as much, trying to stave off his surprise from his voice, “I don’t recall telling you who I am.”
It was her turn to have her lips quirk upwards in a smirk, her words almost a purr as she leaned in, “I’d have to be daft to not recognize the infamous William James Moriarty.”
She glanced back at her brother, whose sharp gaze settled on them, and she turned to the mathematician one more time
“I believe my brother has found himself a new victim for tonight. My condolences.”
And with another smile that oozed a cheeky sort of charm while somehow revealing nothing, she vanished before her brother’s words left his mouth and before William himself could respond with a promise of his own
He had to admit, she’d done a rather brilliant job at ensnaring him from the first moment
Hello dear author! I've just recently watched Moriarty the Patriot and I cannot get over the fact how beautiful the protagonist Willy is. Thus I'd like to request prompt 2,8 & 10 with him. A fluff piece overall. Additionally I would like add the reader kissing him here and there as to cherish him like the cheek, forehead, the spot behind the ear, neck, collarbone, the spot of the nose between the eyes, on the shoulder, back of his hand, the palm of his hand, the wrist [woah that's a lot] and anywhere else honestly
Please bear with me, I love this precious man so much and on top of that I'man hopeless romantic. If I was talking about timeline then may it be after the stunt he pulled on that broken bridge or whatever with Sherlock trying to save him
Yes and thank you very much ❤️💙
AFTER THE FALL - WILLIAM MORIARTY X READER
Warnings : none I think, just general talk of William’s suicide attempt, this is not proofread, reader is gender-neutral!
Genre : hurt/comfort I think? Not sure
Word count : 1.2K words (oh shit)
Additional notes : Hi love! I’m sure we share the same feelings for William. He’s quite lovely, and I think he’s brilliantly written and complex. This is supposed to be an event for works 1.0K words long and under, so I couldn’t fit all those kisses in the request without it being too cramped. I did try my best though, so I hope you like it!💗
Prompts : “Could you play with my hair?” “You put your arm around me and I literally felt my knees buckle, this is so pathetic.” “You’re legally obligated to keep holding me.”

“Months?” William managed to croak out, an incredulous look in his bleary eyes as he tried to sit upright, only to have them stop him with a hand on his shoulder.
Shaking their head, they wondered how long it would take to convince him to take things slow; to finally rest easy after…
Before they could choke on their tears, they blinked them back and instead crawled into the space beside him on the bed. It took everything they had in them to not fling their arms around him and squeeze him in an embrace he could never escape from.
They had to settle for only curling up against his side, carefully reaching out and parting his fringe, checking whether or not the scar had healed up enough for them to be less cautious while touching him.
“Does it hurt?” they asked, deft fingers combing through his pretty bangs, careful so as not to tear it. After staying at the hospital for so long, it was only natural that his hair would grow duller and drier, much to their disappointment.
“Not really,” he thoughtfully answered, “Maybe a little twinge every now and then, but I mostly can’t feel my eye.” William watched as they mindlessly fiddled with the few strands in front of his good eye, before he spoke up again in a quiet voice. “Could you… play with my hair?“
Their movements stilled for a few beats, before a half-smile made its way on their face. “Of course.” And they obliged, one hand gently cradling the back of his neck, while the other began to run through his locks, fondness filling their chest as they watched the way his eyelids fluttered peacefully.
“Feels nice, does it?” they chuckled a little, feeling confident enough to let their other hand trail down his back, stroking his clammy skin until oh-so-carefully resting at the small of his back.
“Yeah,” their lover mumbled out. Despite the relaxed look on his face, William somehow managed to still look utterly exhausted. They supposed it was only normal, after having nearly flung his life into the pitfalls of hell—almost literally too, if one believed in God.
The very thought brought a stinging pain to their chest that wouldn’t let up no matter how hard they willed it to. After all, nothing could erase the memories of seeing William aching and moaning in feverish unconsciousness, welts and blisters covering his entire drenched body that shivered on the riverbank. It took more effort than they ever had to try and push these dreadful thoughts to the back of their mind, and focus on his now-healthy body in their embrace.
He let out a sound that was a mix between a depreciative sigh and a bitter laugh. Giving him a questioning look, they noticed how he failed to meet their eyes. “You put your arm around me and I literally felt my knees buckle, this is so pathetic. To not even be able to pull myself up…”
Weakly smiling, they tried to offer some sort of comfort. “If it makes you feel any better, the first time you reached out for me in your sleep I nearly passed out from crying so much.”
“It doesn’t,” he solemnly replied, “Make me feel better, that is. I’ve left you all alone…”
Before he could go on with his abundantly clear self-hatred, they interrupted him with a tender kiss to his now-exposed forehead. “I prefer having you in a hospital bed than not having you at all. You intended to leave us all, William. I’m just glad we somehow got you to stay.”
He fell silent for a few minutes, before his crimson eyes blew wide open and he scrambled to get up. “Sherlock—!”
Another kiss to his soft cheek. “He’s alright, darling. He’s been visiting you regularly, you know, even though he was quite banged up himself.”
That didn’t seem to ease his nerves; something they should’ve foreseen. “How bad is it? Is he alright? I must see him—“
“Absolutely not,” they firmly stopped him, pushing him down by the shoulder, hoping that it was with enough force to convince him to stay without causing him any pain. He settled back down, but the unease in his eyes didn’t let up. In hopes of soothing his rattled nerves, they pressed a chaste kiss to his shoulder. “You’re not going anywhere before the doctor allows it. He’ll be here in a few minutes.”
Momentarily distracted, he asked, “You called for him?”
“I rang the bell as soon as you began waking up, yes. He’ll need to run another check-up to clear you out.” As they answered his questions, they began to press soft, lingering kisses to wherever they could reach in their position. The tip of his nose, the corner of his rosebud mouth, his chin… it was enough of a distraction to have him sighing at the lovely feeling.
William somehow managed to ask another question. “And everything’s working? Aside from my left eye, that is.”
In response to that, they pressed their lips to that spot between his furrowed eyebrows, hoping to soften the creases formed there. “Perfectly well, yes. Worry more about getting your strength back.” With a teasing smile, they leaned down to nip at the junction between his jaw and his neck. “After all, I’m sure Miss Moneypenny will need a helping hand getting the mansion back in order.”
“Miss Moneypenny and everyone…” A concerned look came on his face, consternation clear in his eyes. “Are they ok?”
“Liam, I’m begging you to stop worrying,” they huffed, “I’ve already written to them. Last time I had, they were fine, but I knew you’d work yourself up as soon as you awakened, so I made sure to contact them again.”
“I can’t help it.”
“I know you can’t, but that’s why I’m here.” Smoothing out the wrinkles between his eyebrows that refused to disappear, they looked at him with a look that was equal parts exasperation and adoration. “You always want to carry everyone’s burdens along with your own, and never ask for help either. It’s what got us into this mess in the first place.”
Swallowing thickly, William seemed to be blinking back his own tears as he visibly struggled to find the words. Ever-so-patiently, they waited, stroking his skin, giving him the time to think of what he wanted to say. Though under any other circumstances it might’ve been an act of seduction, the kisses they littered down his chin, over his throat, and on his collarbone were nothing more than an affirmation of love and a form of encouragement.
He took in a rattling breath. “I’m… I’m sorry.”
“Sorry does often feel like the hardest word, doesn’t it?” they said, though not unkindly. It was that smile of theirs that they gave him that spoke volumes of their adoration and immense relief to simply have him in their embrace once again. “You shouldn’t tire yourself out with your thoughts, my love.”
“Hmm, I’ll try not to.”
They shook their head, before nudging his neck with their nose, kissing behind his ear as they did. “You say that, but I know you’ll still be in your head until you fall asleep. So, let’s busy you with something else. As of now, you’re legally obligated to keep holding me.”
A weak, watery sort of chuckle left William. If they knew him half as well as they know they did, their lover would now be silently crying in their arms, where he was undoubtedly relieved that they couldn’t see him. “I’ll gladly be taken into custody, then.”
Hello! How are you doing? I hope you are doing great💕. Firstly let me express my admiration for your blog, your writing is really beautiful!

“Lord have mercy on every single one of us,” she groaned out loud, letting her head fall back onto the plush pillows and sinking into the mattress. Still in her day clothes, she barely even twitched as she heard footsteps approaching and a chuckle from the conjoined bathroom.
“I never pinned you as the devout religious type,” came William’s amused voice as he walked up to her, hovering right above her as she cracked her eyes open. A small smile on his face, he leaned over and carded his fingers through her hair. “Had a rough day, darling?”
Slowly nodding, she took his outstretched hand in hers, letting him pull her up gently. Part of her swooned internally at the fact that he seemed to do so with such ease and grace that it eas hard to keep a straight face. In all cases, she was too tired to do anything except accept his help in guiding her weary body over to the bathroom, where a heavenly smell was drifting from.
If someone could visibly light up, then she was the perfect embodiment of that expression. Despite all the exhaustion, she managed a grin at the sight of the bathtub filled to the brim with wonderfully bubbly water. Judging from the scent that instantly soothed her senses, William had added a few drops of freshly imported lavender oil to the steaming water. She had no idea what other products he’d poured into the water to make all these colorful suds, but she was well-aware that he had special access to a variety of expensive imports. Just the sight of the bathroom was enough to have her stripping her heavy clothes of within under a minute.
“You’re heaven-sent,” she sighed out, sinking into the delicious warmth that seeped into her bones.
His smile was as angelic as it ever was, but that underlying hint of wickedness still lingered. “I wouldn’t exactly hail myself as a saint.”
“How’d you know I was home?” she questioned, reaching out for the bottle of shampoo, only to have him take it from in front of her. She glanced up at him as he settled on the edge of the bathtub, rolling up the sleeves of his houserobe and oozing some onto his hands. “Ooh, am I getting the special treatment today?” she lightly teased him, but before she could say anything else his fingers gently massaging her scalp pulled a satisfied moan from her lips.
William’s smirk grew, self-satisfaction plain and clear on his face as he scrubbed the lather in. “Yes, you are. And to answer your previous question, I could hear the carriage stopping in front of the manor.” He deftly fiddled with the water taps for a moment, before warm water was pouring into his hands and onto her hair. Even the feeling of him rinsing the suds away was therapeutic.
“You’re too good to me,” she said, leaning back into his palm as his fingers worked their magic once again, ever-so-careful as he untangled every hair strand. Though she felt a few pulls on her scalp, it was an otherwise soothing experience that didn’t only wash the grime of the day but also all the heavy baggage weighing down on her shoulders.
Her lover only shook his head, washing all the products off as he did. “I’m only doing what any man should when he sees his lover this drained.”
Her immense gratitude—as well as her deep, deep fondness—was written all over her face as she watched him turn off the faucet and grab her towel from its hook. Lazy as she currently felt in the middle of the warm bathtub, she managed to languidly smile at him. “No, not every man would be this thoughtful,” she chuckled, adding almost to herself, “I really got lucky with you, sweetheart.”
His laugh was a melodic thing that seemed to dig its fizzing warnth into her very being. Pliant in his arms, she allowed him to tug her towards him, wading her out of the tub and drying her off at the foot of the tub with gentle hands. She could swear that the lights in his beautiful crimson eyes spelled out words of love that she’d never tire of hearing—even if his current words were as sweet as these.
“Then I hope I’ll be lucky enough to keep you by my side forevermore.”

“William?” they managed to croak out from the bed, their voice barely carrying across the distance to the couch where the platinum blonde was seated.
He hummed, uncrossing his legs and looking up from the newspaper he’d been so quietly inspecting with his evening tea. Folding it and setting it to the side underneath his already-lukewarm cup, he could now be as attentive as could be.
“Feeling feverish again?” he gently asked, concern lacing his words, causing them to shake their head in denial, and he could feel some tension seeping from his shoulders, “That’s a relief. Is something else the matter, then?”
Still looking a little dazed (though he could notice that their pallor wasn’t as alarming as before; some color had returned to their cheeks), they weakly shook their head once again as he took the seat by their bedside, in hopes of picking up on their small voice better—should they speak, that is.
As soon as he’d folded his legs in that curious manner he always did, they lightly tugged at his wine-red robe as best as they could to grab his attention. A patient smile graced William’s handsome face, and a pale hand reached out to their own, gently unfolding their fingers and entwining them with his as he waited for them to talk.
Swallowing thickly, they managed to whisper, “Could you please… read to me?”
Scarlet eyes softened at the simple request, and he could only offer them his most affectionate, “Of course,” as he used his free hand to pick up the book on their bedside table, no doubt left there the last time they’d had the strength to read it themselves.
“Would you rather I start from the beginning or from where you’ve last read?” he asked, carefully flipping through the slightly-aged papers.
“Be-Beginning, please,” they cleared their throat in an attempt to enunciate better and more coherently, though they still sounded heartachingly weak to their devoted lover, “It’s… more enjoyable when you read aloud to me.”
Something akin to adoration brimmed underneath the upwards quirk of his lips as he settled upon the first page.
“What a coincidence,” his saccharine voice soothed their worries as his other hand remained clasped in theirs, thumb delicately brushing the back of their palm, “I happen to find it my favorite time of the day whenever I do.”
And so, with one hand tightly clutching theirs, and the other thumbing through the papers of the thick book resting upon his lap, the words began to flow from his rosy lips, as sweet and smooth as caramel while he read the lines that his voice turned into wonderful stories.
““Christmas won’t be Christmas without any presents,” grumbled Jo, lying on the rug…”
