now, you can imagine the shock when william discovers that he's technically engaged

it's been two seconds and already he's in quite a pickle
luckily for him, albert is very observant and noticed your... distaste for his blood brother
he also suspected you to not be in complete agreement with upper society's belief of their superiority to the lower class
so he decided it was a calculated risk and, with william and louis's permission, invited you to tea one afternoon
imagine your surprise when you walked through the door and saw a kind-eyed boy in place of the little scowling gremlin you were so used to
albert explains what has happened, as well as that william will not be going into public for some time, in hope that aging will minimized anyone's questions about why he looks so different
william could see the hesitation in your expression but also the curiosity in your eyes
it intrigued him
you were allowed to visit as often as you pleased, as long as you came alone
he welcomed it as it would help him gauge how useful you would be and where, if not also to figure out what made you tick
louis didn't particularly enjoy it
he didn't trust you and the risk of you outing his brother made him uneasy
but he did trust his brother and if william was willing to put up with you then he would have to as well

and the bird who decide william's head was a perfect place to perch for a moment
but the funniest one had to be when he leaned in to kiss you for the first time and louis decided that was the perfect time to announce that dinner was ready
it was the only time you've seen william genuinely annoyed

it's that perfect tsundere softy pairing and it sends me to the moon
plus the friends since they were kids trope
speaking of which
can you imagine them meeting as little kids
and hiro's like annoyed bc he's always annoyed he's being forced to play with this quiet girl
but he complies like a good boy and plays with her (begrudgingly)
and he notices somewhere along the line he stopped being so annoyed by her
and that he kinda actually likes spending time with her
and that she's kinda his best friend not that he'd admit to it
seriously i'm obsessed with the friends to crushes aspect
